Chapter 7: Resilience in the Arctic: A Return to Iron Blood

Iron Blood Northern Base, Norway

We able to return safely after we fought off against the Russians at the Artic and Tirpitz is happy that I was able to return unharmed except for a few bruises when my plane crashes. I was order to stay in the hospital for a few days until my ribs is okay since they hit hard when land on the island, but so far I'm not in the threat zone. Tirpitz order me a couple of days off so I can heal up before I get back on the plane which Tirpitz request a plane from the mainland since every planes is mass-produce. I'm walking through the base and see what I can do to enjoy myself while waiting for me to recover and get a new plane. I notice Tirpitz waiting for me at the entrance of the hospital with a worry look on her face which is the first time she was worry about me.

Tirpitz: "How's your health?"

Fredrick: "The doctor says that I'm good as long I can take a couple of days off."

Tirpitz: "Good since your plane won't be arriving until this weekend"

I follow Tirpitz back to the Command Center where I can see supplies coming in from the mainland since today is rearming day for our incoming mission in the future which is helping Finland fight against Northern Parliament since they joined the Crimson Axis during the Winter War, but Tirpitz was order to station near the coast of Norway to prevent Azur Lane of supplying the Russians through the Baltic Sea or the Arctic which I believe they try the Arctic once more since they push us out of the waters.

Tirpitz: "Once you get a plane; you report to Finland High Command, but you under my command. If the situation is going south; retreat."

Fredrick: "Understood Tirpitz."

We decide to have lunch together since I haven't eat anything good during my times in the hospital and return to the delicious food from the Fatherland. We both have coffee to warm ourselves from the cold while eating some food. Tirpitz is enjoying the comfort of the cold since she is station here ever since she was born to this world and I wonder what is her life style before coming here.

Fredrick: "How's your life before been station here?"

Tirpitz: "Once I was born as a human girl; it was the same thing when I was still a warship. What about me in your world?"

Fredrick: "The difference is that you're more active in the Atlantic after your sister's death and we're winning the war against the Allies or Azur Lane in this world after their defeat at D-Day."

I remember that day when the Allies invade France by crossing the English Channel, but I leave that for the next chapter to discuss more about it. They didn't expect heavy resistance including advance weapons from the Paranormal Division and Special Projects Division including Kriegpanzer  who is part of the Special Projects Division and was able to hold the Allies off.

Note: "I'm going to make a story about Kreigpanzer in the future."

We finish our meal and I head out to see what to do for the day, but the problem is that there is not much to do since the base is small which is understandable since most of the fighting is away from us except for the Arctic or Finland. Time for me to rest for the day since it's doctor's orders.

Time Skip
Airfield, Iron Blood Northern Base

It was about couple of weeks since the event against the Northern Parliament and my new plane have arrive.

Fredrick: "Finally; get some work done."

Right at cue; Tirpitz arrive with Graf Zeppelin who arrive at the mainland to support our forces at Finland.

Tirpitz: "Graf Zeppelin will be in charge with the German forces at Finland and help the Finnish to repel the Russians. She will send the orders for you."

Graf Zeppelin tip her hat while I stare at her bust since it's hard to not to notice it; however I try my best to attention.

Graf Zeppelin: "You will be providing air support for us and the Finnish, but my orders is final."

Fredrick: "Understood Lady Zeppelin."

Zeppelin didn't smile, but have that similar neutral expression on her face; however I can sense that she is grateful for loyalty. Looks like the plan is to launch the planes from the Baltic with Graf Zeppelin and with her escorts to support the frontline because I can see my plane been loading up on Graf Zeppelin while I can see her talking with Tirpitz.

Tirpitz: "Make sure that he stay safe."

Graf Zeppelin: "He can take care of himself; he's German like us. Is an honor to fight to burn the world."

After everything is prepare for our operation; I enter the carrier alongside with Graf which I watch Tirpitz standing near the dock with a worry look on her face, but I promise myself that I return to her side once the fight is over. The fleet depart from the base and make our way to Finland.

Time Skip
Graf Zeppelin's Fleet, Baltic Sea

It was about about a day or so when we reach the Baltic Sea and entering Finland/Russian waters where I was preparing my plane for my mission until Graf Zeppelin arrive with the report.

Graf Zeppelin: "Looks like Norther Parliament notice us and preparing to launch their planes against us, but we don't need to worry about their anti-ship guns since we're far away from their range."

Fredrick: "What about kansens?"

Graf Zeppelin: "Going to be a while before they arrive, but they still have mass-produce ships; however they're not much of a threat than the kansens since they don't turn humans."

That makes them easy targets for us so time is against us if kansens are coming. I jump on the plane and prepare to launch out of the carrier which I notice Graf Zeppelin salute to me which I return the favor before leaving the carrier.
