Chapter 16: Shadows Over Greenland

Iron Blood Stealth Fleet, Arctic Ocean
Fredrick POV

I'm been assign to Graf Zeppelin's fleet, but as a stealth forces after Ulrich inform Bismarck about the Royal Navy secret project which Bismarck read the report about strange activity by the faction's sending large amount of supplies somewhere in the Arctic so she decide to send a stealth force  to investigate this strange activity by the Royal Navy. Again; I'm away from Lady Tirpitz for this mission since this is important, but she says that we can talk more after this mission since it's important to win this war. I hop onto my plane and about to take off before Zeppelin inform me about something.

Zeppelin: "My recon plane has found their base in Greenland coast. Be careful; we don't know what they have out there."

I nod and I launch along with the other planes that are lifting off after the report of a enemy base has been spotted by the recon team. We're setting course to Greenland and see what the Royal Navy is cooking up.

We arrive at the port and our forces have already commence their attack at the base and notice couple of enemy planes to intercept us, but right now I need to figure out what are they building. I look outside from my window and see a large massive carrier like structure with ice and wood. Looks like they're building a ice-type carrier to deal with their U-Boat problems, but it won't work if it doesn't set out to sea. I focus on the interceptors that is attacking our bombers. After the interceptors are dealt with; the bombers are dropping their bombs on top of the base while the AA guns are focus on our fighters that is attacking their ground forces.

Royal Navy Secret Port, Greenland
Captain Holton POV

I watch Iron Blood forces attacking our defense and bombing our carrier project with deadly accurate which is causing our AA defense overwhelm. We send out a warning signal to High Command for support, but the question is how long help arrive. I was about to head out to join the defense until my radioman inform me.

Radioman: "Sir; we got words from Eagle Union that they sending in their fleet, but also report that they won the bet."

I was shock that they able to complete their version of Project Habakkuk, but they kept it secret including us. What kind of carrier they just built?

Radioman: "Another thing they say; Expect a great winter storm incoming."

Holton(confuse): "What do they mean by that?"

The radioman didn't know, but when I look outside of my window; the snow is getting heavier all the sudden including the view. What did the Eagle Union unleash to this world?

Cleveland POV

We got words that Iron Blood forces are attacking the Royal Navy at their secret port base in Greenland and request support from us.  We're escorting a single aircraft carrier, but not your typical carrier because this carrier is made of ice and he is causing a snowstorm which is the main reason that me and the others are wearing coats despite the temperature is warm.

Cleveland: "I can't believe that it's in the middle of summer and we have to wear coats."

Denver: "That's because Gettysburg's powers that is causing it. He could have wait until we reach Greenland."

New Jersey: "Only reason of that because we don't want to be discover by U-Boats while making our way and this storm will help us move in without drawing attention."

She made a vital point since Iron Blood doesn't know about Gettysburg since he was built not long ago and this is the first test to demonstrate his powers, but the main reason why Gettysburg join this fight because his older sister Enterprise order him to go which he accept it without questioning.

New Jersey: "To be honest; I think he is doing this because he wants to proof to his big sister Enterprise."

Everyone nod after we both witness him always sticking to Enterprise when they were kids during our time in the Orphanage before he went back to Alaska Research Facility to continue to be monitor for Project Ice Age. He didn't return until couple days ago after he have a green light to explore the world, but he rather stick with Enterprise like a puppy attach to his mother. While we continue to talk about Gettysburg; we notice explosion from the distance which means that the fight has commence.

Cleveland: "GETTYSBURG! LOOKS LIKE IRON BLOOD HAVE ALREADY ATTACKING THE PORT!"

A wolf kansen jump on to the water which his body turn the water into ice while he is holding a wolf mask.

Gettysburg: "Looks like it's time for hunting. Girls; protect our allies while I deal with the air threat."

We agree and he launch his planes that is made of ice before heading to the battlefield.

Royal Navy Secret Base, Greenland
Fredrick POV

I can see the damage of the base from my window and it looks like their project is sinking to the bottom of the sea which means our mission is complete, but why is the storm is getting worst all the sudden. I order the planes to return back to the fleet before the storm is getting worst, but I notice AA gun fire coming from the water and I notice girls skidding through the water and one of them is holding a Eagle flag. They must be from Eagle Union or in my world; United States of America. They're a foe to not be mess with without preparation and since our intel didn't say anything about Eagle Union fighting.

Fredrick: "Time to leave. Our job here is done."

But before we head out; the storm is getting worst and planes appear out of the storm and attacking us, but the planes are made of ice.

Fredrick(shock): "WHAT?"
