LUCY'S POV

We got home last night and went straight to bed. I woke up the next day to the sun hitting my face.

I arose from my sleeping position and stretched my arms out. The memories from last night came flooding back to me and I turned my head to see.. wait where's Vance?

He's probably in the bathroom. I pulled the blanket off of me and walked over to the bathroom. The door was closed but I could see the light was on. I turned back around, to lay down for a bit when I heard the door open. I turned back around to see it was just Molly. "Mornin'" she mumbled out and went back to her room to go back to bed. Wheres Vance? I walked downstairs and peeked my head in the kitchen. Where the hell did this guy go?

I started to overthink. Did he run off? Did I scare him off? No way! He kissed me! I heard the front door handle twist and I rushed out of the kitchen to see who it was. It was Vance. He was holding something behind his back. A smile grew on my face, "hey where'd you go?" I asked him.

He had a sheepish look on his face and removed his hand from behind his back to reveal a bouquet of flowers. My favorite kind, daises. He extended them out to me, "you weren't supposed to be up yet" He said with a slight smile. I grabbed them and wrapped my arms around him and kissed his cheek. "they're beautiful!" I exclaimed.

he wrapped his arms around my waist since mine were around his neck and he moved his face to kiss my lips. "Go get ready, Im taking you out" He whispered into my ear. I was smiling ear to ear.

It took me a while to figure out what to wear. I really needed to make sure I looked nice. I walked into Molly's room, "Molly.. wake up" I whisper yelled. she groaned in response, "Ill be back in 3, theres stuff to make food in the kitchen and I left some money if you want to order something, bye love you" she mumbled a bye and fell back asleep.

I walked down the steps, adjusting pieces of my hair and Vance was sitting on the couch reading a magazine. He got up, "wow.." was all he said as he stared at me. Blush crept onto my face as i smiled. He stepped in front of me and opened the front door for me. His truck was sitting in the driveway. Vance has been working on his truck for a little while, I only know because I like to watch him work on it.

He locked the front door and rushed to open the passenger door for me, I giggled at him. He's such a dork. He got in the car and we started driving.

We pulled into a diner and as cliche as it is, we shared a strawberry milkshake. Afterward we went to an arcade.

"Here ya go" The girl behind the counter said handing me and Vance the gold tokens. I looked at all the games I saw pac-man and space invaders, two games I sucked at. I saw a racing game and walked over to it, Vance following behind me. I sat down on the plastic race car seat, Vance taking the same racing machine next to mine so we could play against each other.

I put my tokens into the machine and the picture screen came up, as it counted down Vance photo bombed me.

I think he was letting me win, that was the easiest race. Vance got up and went to play Skee-Ball, I took the game next to him Ring toss. I kept glancing over at him and watching him fail miserably, maybe he's only good at pin ball. I laughed at his attempts.

He turned to look at me, " Don't get all cocky now Lucy, I wanna see you beat my score" I laughed, "Oh I can totally be 300 piece of cake!" He moved out of the way and I put in my tokens and he resumed my ring toss round. I grabbed the balls as they dispensed, I think the trick is the angle. 40, 40, 50, 10, 0, 50 100, 40, 50. "Bam!" I shouted as I pointed to my score, "330 suck it" I laughed and he rolled his eyes laughing too.

He walked over to the pin ball machine, "Now I know you aren't going to beat me on this" He went first and I watched him play. he ended up beating the high score and got a 2,450. Now I was always good at pinball but it's been a while since I played, or at least thats what i'm telling myself to justify my score being a 560.

We competed a bit more, I beat him on pac man, he beat me on space invaders, I beat him at air hockey and he beat me at Donkey Kong, which in my defense, is a difficult game.

We were walking around carrying our tickets when I spotted a photo booth, I grabbed Vances bicep with my free hand and led him to it.

"Cmon! lets take pictures!" I exclaimed. We climbed into the booth and he put tokens in. The count down started and we smiled first. The count down started again and Vance grabbed my face and kissed me. We pulled away and Vance busted out laughing I didn't get what he was laughing at but his laugh is so contagious that I started laughing too, the photo booth took a picture of us laughing. I turned back to the screen and it was blank so Vance and I climbed out, still giggling, and retrieved our photos. The machine captured all 3 photos.

We cashed in our tickets for some candy. When we first pulled up to the arcade the parking lot was full so we had to park down the street, I didn't mind it, it was nice and breezy out.

We were walking hand in hand, holding our own copy of the photos. I was smiling. "I had a great time today". Vance looked down, he was smiling too, "So did i" it felt like he was trying to say something else, something that I hope he's going to ask and not make me ask. Once we stopped at the crosswalk he turned to me, "Lucy, will you be my girlfriend?"

My stomach exploded with butterflies and the biggest smile was slapped onto my face, "yes Vance, I would love to be your girlfriend". I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. His hands rested on my waist, pulling me in deeper.

When we got back to the truck he took his copy of the pictures and clipped it to the sun visor.

And that is the last chapter! I hope there aren't any people who wanted me to continue but really I cant think of anything more to add to the story. I hope you guys enjoyed it! and i will be going back and touching up a few chapters just to make sure that they sound right. Bye!
