(since the characters are aged up, I want the room to be taller since their taller yk?.)
SEPTEMBER ??? 1979
LUCY'S POVI woke up in shock. My chest was heaving as I frantically searched my surroundings. It was a tall room. Dirty walls. And a metal door in the middle. I saw a window and a phone, it was black. I jumped up from the dirty mattress and picked up the receiver.
I started to dial 911 but I didn't hear anything. I inspected the phone, following the cord to see if it was unplugged. It was cut. "Mother fucker" I muttered out.
My next move was to head towards the window but I heard a toilet flush. That sound was coming from the hallway on the right of the door. I slowly crept towards it. The moment I rounded the corner I saw Bruce.
He looked nothing like the last time I saw him. He was a lot more skinny, his hair was shaggy and dirty. His clothes were lose and torn. He didn't acknowledge me. He was to focused on digging a hole that was in the middle of the hallway.
'holy fuck' I opened my mouth to say something, nothing came out. "Don't stand there help me, we have to get out of here" he whispered and grabbed a scoop of dirt and flushed it down the toilet.
"Where are we?" I questioned. "The grabbers basement" he said as he kneeled towards the hole to dig out more dirt. There was so many thoughts going through my mind. I didn't know what to do I stood there stunned. "What.. what day is it?" I asked. He paused for a moment. "I don't know"
MOLLY'S POV
I sat at the bench Infront of the school. It was 4:00. I've been out of school for a while. I sighed. I knew she wasn't going to come. But I got my hopes up. I slowly walked home. I kept my head down so no one would see the tears running down my face.
Once I got to the house I was mad. She lied. She forgot me again! How could she? Once I got upstairs I opened her door. I didn't bother to knock. "Lucy!" I yelled. But she wasn't there.
I checked the bathroom. She wasn't there either. "Where the hell is she.." I whispered. I picked up the phone and called her work.
Joanne picked up."Hey Joanne is Lucy at work? She's not home right now.." I asked and ran my hand through my hair, I was starting to get worried now. "No she's not.. are you-" I hung up. I don't have time to waste. Don't get me wrong I like Joanne but she doesn't stop talking.
I called Jamie. I know their friends again, so maybe she went over. "Hello Mrs Smalls, is Lucy over?" I asked when I heard Jamie's mom pick up. "No she's not sweetie, is everything ok?"
My heart sank a bit. "Yeah everythings fine, I just remembered she's at work" I lied, I didn't want to worry her.
I hung up again. There were two more places I could check. Vance's and the police station. I grabbed my jacket and started to walk over to Vance's house.
LUCY'S POV
He took Bruce. The grabber came down to the basement and took Bruce. I was pacing the room back and forth. I was freaking out. I heard the phone ring. The one on the wall. I slowly walked to it. The ringing getting louder and louder with every step.
I picked up the receiver with hesitation. "Hello?" I spoke. No answer. "Hello?" I said even louder. No answer. "Hello?!" Even louder. Still no answer.
I hung up. The moment I did the door swung open. The grabber threw Bruce on the ground. He was bleeding. Blood coming out of his mouth. Cuts and bruises covered him. I immediately rush to his aid. The grabber laughed and shut the door.
"Holy fuck! Are you ok?" I asked not knowing what to do. "I'm fine" he coughed out, "just continue digging the hole ok? I just wanna sleep for a bit." He said and crawled over the the mattress and laid down.
Digging the hole was going to take to much time. So I tried to find a different way out instead. I was looking around till my eyes landed on the window.
It was small, and out of reach but I was still going to try. I tried jumping first. But only my fingertips could grip the ledge of the window. So I decided to try a running jump.
I went on the other side of the room, ran and jumped. This time my hands caught the ledge. I was hanging from the ledge, my feet were dangling since I couldn't touch the floor. My elbows propped me up as I messed with the lock on the window.
I turned the lock every way I could, attempting to slide it open. After a couple tries I was successful. The window was open.
I suck my hands on both sides of the window and pulled myself through. Once I got my arms through, I gripped the grassy ground to pull my body through. I got about half way out till someone grabbed my legs and pulled me back into the basement.
It was the grabber. He looked different this time. Instead of his full mask he only had the top half.
He held me up against the wall, so my feet couldn't touch the ground. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" He shouted. He threw me to the ground. I scooted back, trying to get away from him.
He smiled at my movement. He took he belt of and raised it at me. "You've been a very naughty girl" he said as he hit me with the belt.
MOLLY'S POV
"Did she ever talk about running away?" The officer asked. It turns out no one saw Lucy since she left school. I was sitting in the police station. "No she didn't. She wouldn't leave without me" I said as tears continue to roll down my face.
"Alrighty, well, we can put out missing posters for her, maybe she'll turn up" he said as he pulled the computer closer to him. He asked me questions about Lucy and for a picture of her. About and hour later he came back with a stack of missing papers.
I took the stack of papers and walked out of the station. I started to put up each paper along the streets.*******
