"Jacob, I told you to put that coyote down."
"I did, Pa! But he rose up from his grave! And now he's a.. zombie coyote!"
The zombie coyote from the movie howled loudly as all of us flinched, except for Henry.
He chuckled, making me turn to stare at him weirdly.
"How did he pick up and operate that chainsaw!?"
"OH MY GOD!"
"That's a lot of blood!"
"Not in front of my popcorn!"
"Ew."
"Oh, no!"
My dad paused the movie and turned to Henry "What's your problem, man?!"
"Hm?"
"What's your problem, man?!"
"Nothin', it's just- a funny movie." he deadpanned, making all of us snap
"A funny movie?!"
"I almost wet my pants!"
"Even I'm scared!"
"Terrifying!"
"It's a movie about zombie coyotes!"
"Woah, woah, uh- I'm uh- getting a lot of negativity in my direction. Reminds me of the time that I said I didn't like Fortnite."
"You're bad at it."
"You only said that because I kept beating you."
"--a hundred billion subscribers!" Jasper stood up from his seat "That's billion. With a 'b.'"
"Alright, that's enough! That's enough!" the blond cut us off before getting up "Now, can we please turn the movie on so I can laugh and enjoy my Bro-maha steaks?"
"That's another thing!"
"Yeah!"
"Oh God.."
"Not only are you laughing at our scary movie, but you're sitting here eatin' Bro-maha steaks right in our faces!" Kelly argued back
"Yeah!" Charlotte immediately took her side
"All we have is candy, and popcorn, and sodas, and donuts, and taffy, and slushies──I mean, what the heck, man?!"
"Might not be the best argument, buddy." I gently pat Jasper's shoulder before Henry fed me a piece of the steak.
"How come Audrianna gets your steak then?" McKenzie deadpanned at him as everyone suddenly erupted into arguments
"Okay, first of all!" Henry interrupted us "I bought these steaks myself. With my own dad's credit card. Second of all, Audrianna gets my steak because she's my wife and I love her."
