Though battered and burnt, Luffy grins proudly, yet again fighting his way through another one of Krieg's cheap shot tactics.
As the tides of the fight turn against the Krieg Pirates' favor, the chefs once again regain hope.
"Chore Boy's pretty good, huh?"
"He might be able to pull this off."
Krieg's men's morale continues to sink like a heavy stone in the ocean.
"This is terrible!"
"He just shattered the Mighty Battle Speat!"
"It's a miracle he's still alive after that many explosions. There's no way he can hold up." Sanji comments, clutching his side with broken ribs.
💣You underestimate the stubbornness that is Monkey D. Luffy.💣 Trigger remarks.
"Once Luffy's set his mind on something, it's next to impossible to divert his choice or change his mind." Ula adds.
Luffy stares Krieg down, ready and raring to go.
"You ready for this?" The rubber boy goads. "Because that was all I needed. Now that your little toy's broken, you're nothing to me."
Krieg's eyebrow twitches, but he keeps his composure. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. Without the blade, it's just a bomb on a stick. And let's face it, that's pretty lame."
"You think so?"
"Sure do."
Krieg's sneer turns smug.
"Heh. Fine, so what if it is just a bomb on a stick. You're in sad shape, kiddo. I think it'll be more than enough to blow you to pieces. Y'know, it sounds to me like this is some sort of pathetic attempt at a bluff."
Luffy's smile has yet to drop.
"Okay, but you're wrong?"
"Just give up. Your defeat is imminent."
Krieg lifts up his Battle Bomb on a Stick.
"You see, when you defied me...You signed your own death warrant!"
"Nuh-uh." Luffy cracks back, childishly, with a stick of his tongue.
This elicits a giggle from Ula.
Krieg charges at Luffy, slamming the remains of his Battle Spear to blow Luffy to bits.
And yet even in his heavily wounded state, Luffy stretches his arms out to latch onto the yardarm of another displaced mast.
"Hey! Up here!" Luffy taunts, swinging above Krieg like his surname sake
"Bastard. You monkey!" Krieg shouts, smashing his weapon into the mast causing it to tumble.
Luffy hoots and howls like his own inner animal, aggravating Krieg even more.
💣You remember how much of a riot the kid is when he's not getting on your nerves.💣 Trigger laughs.
"Give him ears and a curly tail, you'd think he was an Anima in disguise."
💣What are you thinking? Langur?💣
"I was thinking maybe a macaque, capuchin or spider monkey. They've all got one trait or another with each other."
As the mast takes it tumble, Luffy breaks off part of the yardarm he was clinging to.
