Choo, Kuroobi, and Hachi examine the bizarre crash site and seemingly abandoned brigantine lying beached in the middle of the rice paddy field.
The octopus Fishman hums befuddled.
"That's really strange. I've never seen a ship fall out of the sky before. And it's such a nice one, too."
"Yeah, me neither. I'm surprised it's still this intact." Kuroobi agrees. "It would seem we have some unusual visitors."
"The question is 'why are they here'?" Choo queries.
It's at that moment, Hachi spots Luffy all by his lonesome, just strolling by, head lowered and his pace steady. Ula and her Pack are nowhere around, having taken the path less traveled through some of the island's thick forest.
"Hey, you guys! Look!"
All six arms are directly pointing at the unfamiliar face among the three of them.
"He's not from this island."
Luffy's head jolts up to look ahead, now seeing Arlong's three leading officers now standing in his walk path.
"Oh, wow. They must be Fishmen. Guess Ula really is different from them. Her fish form is way cooler."
But even the three intimidating figures that dwarf Luffy's height, coming up to their waists, aren't enough to deter Luffy's stroll.
The Fishmen remain rooted in place, eyeing the newcomer with varying expressions.
Neither side wanes in their objective.
Luffy strides up to and passes them without showing an ounce of fear, intimidation or any other emotion.
This causes Kuroobi to raise a brow, never having experienced such an encounter.
As Luffy fully passes the three, just before he can get too far, a certain octopus Fishman calls him out.
"Hey, you there! Wait!" Hachi growls, whipping around to face the departing ravenette.
This direct confrontation is finally enough to get Luffy's attention.
He stops his walk, turning to give the Fishman his full attention.
"Huh? You mean me?"
"Who are you and what're you doing on this island?!" Hachi demands.
"Why? What does it matter to you?"
Luffy's unhesitant retort leaves the octopus Fishman taken aback for a second.
"Well, it's just that we...don't get many visitors."
"Oh, well, my name's Luffy. I'm just passing through."
"Eh? Passing through?"
Hachi recoils in surprise at the rather casual response, but soon shifts into another one of his mood swings.
"Well, have a nice time!" He waves him off, six handkerchiefs in hand, as he continues his stroll.
Kuroobi and Choo, on the other hand, aren't as amused by Luffy's callous remarks.
"Hey, smartass. Where are you going?" Choo questions.
"Heck if I know."
Hachi just laughs, watching as the boy continues his walk.
"He seems like he'd be a fun guy to have around."
"Yeah, sure, but who the hell is he?" Choo begs the question.
