How do you know who I am?"
"You're a very special girl Alora and someday you will realize why."
"Why don't you just tell me?"
"What would be the fun in that? So I understand you are here to kill me? Tell me, have you ever killed a god?"
"No, but there's a first time for everything."
"Very true. Before we get to my impending doom could I ask you a few questions?"
I glance at Adrian and he nods his head slightly. "I don't see why not."
"Goodie. How was New York? Beautiful, I hear especially during the winter season."
"It's fine. How did you know about New York?"
"Your friend here, Adrian was is, wasn't the only person following you."
I saw Adrian's chest start moving faster.
"What is with elves following me? Seriously, I'm not that interesting."
"See that's where you're wrong. First, I'm not an elf. Secondly, you can't possibly fathom how much power you have buried inside you. That Hydrokinesis is only the beginning."
"What?"
Adrian reached to touch my shoulder, "he could just be lying to buy himself more time."
"Percy was right, your friends are smart."
"How do you know my father?"
"Oh, the Collective really hasn't told you anything have they?"
"That's not true. They've told me everything they know."
"Really? Did they tell you the real reason your father left? How about why all the elves' powers don't affect you?"
"We haven't tried using our gifts against her. We're on the same side."
"Yes, I see that. But you're father, the mind-reader, doesn't have to try to read people's minds, it just happens, correct? He's learned to tune out the unwanted voices, but he can still hear them."
"Don't talk about his father. This is between me and you."
"If only that were true. I don't want to hurt you, or anyone for that matter. I'm just trying to make you see that not everything is as it seems. Perhaps you should reconsider if you're on the right side or not. I just hope when you do it's not too late."
"Hey! Who gives you the right-"
"Calm down blonde boy, I'm not trying to insult you. Just maybe think that the people the Collective is trying to protect may not be worth protecting. They're hiding something from you. Something massive."
"Alora you have to remember that this thing is pure evil you can't believe what it says without further research."
"The boy is correct but do be warned in the blink of an eye there's no more time so decide what you do wisely. As for while you think, let me enlighten you on a few things," Luca took a step closer causing Adrian to raise his sword. "Relax. If I wanted to kill her she'd be dead by now, and so would the rest of you. What do you remember about your father? His face... his voice? What have people told you about your father? Don't you find it strange how quickly you were able to control your power? Your ears haven't begun pointing yet, and even Mr. Kingsley's here are somewhat pointed."
"My father means nothing. You can talk all you want but that won't stop me from killing you."
"If that's what you want to do then go for it. But remember, only divine beings can kill other divine beings," my mind slowly started connecting his points. "Elvin powers don't work on you. The Olympic Stone only opened to your blood."
