The café felt alive with the hum of conversations, clinking cups, and the faint rhythm of music playing in the background. I remember Alex had insisted on this spot for our lunch date, saying it had "the perfect vibe."
And honestly, If i were to say, he wasn't wrong it really was warm and inviting. It looked beautiful, with its interiors glimmering and shinning.
We slid into a place near the window. Alex was smiling all the damn time! He looked really happy indeed. I could feel myself blushing due to his constant staring.
"Okay," I said, narrowing my eyes, trying my best not to give away with the blush. "What's with the face? You've been smiling like that ever since we got here."
He pouted cutely, trying to act really innocent. "What face? This is just my normal face."
"Uh-huh. Spill it, Lex." Like that would work on him, he is such an actor I tell you!
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, his hands cupping his face. "Fine. I'm just happy. Is that a crime? Can't a guy be happy to spend time with the most amazing girl he knows?"
