Willa had spent the rest of the day with Axel. He adored her and she loved the family aspect of living with them. It helped her with coping. Well, as much as it could help her.
"For Auntie Wiwa!" Axel said, showing her a flower he had picked for her. Willa smiled and gently took the flower from him, it was a rose. He was proud of himself. Why wouldn't he be? In his mind, he got her a gift.
"Thank you, Axel. I appreciate it," Willa smiled, tucking the rose behind her ear. She needed him to know that she appreciated him and his actions. That's something that Willa did with everyone that she loved and cared about.
"Yay!" Axel exclaimed, hugging her yet again. Like Clover, Axel loved affection. Willa chuckled softly, hugging the kid back. After a few moments, she picked him up. She made sure he was secured on her hip, his small arms still wrapped around her, before heading inside. The sun was setting, meaning it was almost time for dinner.
"Mama!!" Clover squealed, eagerly pointing to Willa and Axel as she sat in her high chair. Katia looked up at the sound of her daughter's voice. She was finishing up dinner, hence why Clover was in her high chair.
"I see baby," Katia smiled, plating Clover's food and placing it in front of her. She placed a kiss on the top of her daughter's head as Willa set Axel down at the table.
"Eat!" Clover told her mother. Katia had made sandwiches for everyone, she wanted an easy dinner. But she didn't mind cooking, Willa did. Willa didn't mind cleaning, but Katia did. It evened out.
Willa just looked at Clover, not seeming to shake the fact that she looked just like her sister when she was her age. Willa was the oldest child... had been the oldest child. Her brother, Niko, was three years younger than her. And her baby sister, Clover, was five years younger than her. Only 13 and 11 when the Capitol killed them. They were too young. Too young to understand why that was happening to them. Willa wanted them back, she did. The feeling never seemed to go away since it happened.
But Katia knew how much her siblings had meant to her, especially her baby sister, and hence why she named her daughter after Clover.
"Willa?" Katia said quietly, placing her hand on the blonde's back. She was zoning out reasonably so. She had a lot on her mind.
"M'sorry," Willa mumbled, taking a seat at the table and resting her head in her hands. She thought she was doing better but she still had her moments. But these moments seemed to be a lot more common in recent times. Was it because of the Quarter Quell? Because of the fear she had of the possibility of being face to face with President Snow? Whatever it was, it was giving her a lot of unwanted feelings.
Willa tried eating her dinner, but she simply couldn't eat more than a few bites. She didn't have much of an appetite which was a common occurrence with her.
"Thank you for trying," Katia softly said once she got Clover out of her high chair after she finished eating. The kids always played together after dinner.
"Did my best," Willa told her, running a hand through her hair.
"That's all I ask. I know you're stressed but it's going to get better," Katia said, placing a kiss on her head. She knew it comforted the girl.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" Willa whispered.
"Of course you can sweetheart. You know you don't have to ask me," Katia reassured the girl. Willa squeezed her hands. She just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible before the reaping ceremony. What if she got reaped? What if she died and wasn't able to see Katia again? That was her biggest fear. Katia was the only person from her childhood that she really had left. Yeah, she still had some friends she made in school but they weren't nearly as close as her and Katia. Willa needed her.
"Yay," Willa said, seeming a bit more relaxed.
"Yeah. Yay," Katia nodded, letting the blonde know she was also excited. She knew she felt better when people felt the same way she did. Made her avoid overthinking and Katia wanted to add as little stress as possible.

Willa woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare, confused on where she was. Where was she? Was she safe? Was Katia safe? Her mind was too loud and panicked to tell.
"Willa, Willa. I'm right here," Katia said, placing her hands on her arms. She had woken up almost instantly after Willa did. She hated seeing her panic.
"Where am I?" she cried, trying to hide her body in Katia's.
"You're in my room, you're safe. I'm right here," Katia reassured her, stroking her hair. Willa cried into her chest, trying to not cause too much noise.
"Finnick," Willa hiccuped. Was Finnick okay? She needed to know. He wasn't in her dream.
"Yeah, honey. Finnicks okay, promise. You don't have to worry about him," Katia said, trying to calm her down. Truthfully, she had no idea whether or not Finnick was actually okay - they were so far away from each other. But Willa didn't have to know that, not now.
"Finnick okay," Willa repeated, tears not slowing down. Finnick, Katia, Asher, Clover. The four people Willa loved more than herself. As long as those four were okay, she would be okay deep down.
