Tessa and John sat on the front deck, John drinking a coffee. They'd already been into town to get some dog food for the new puppy.

Tessa held a dog treat above Mollys nose, before slowly moving it across the top of her head. Molly tilted her head back and sat down on her own accord.

"Sit." Tessa tells her before rewarding her with the treat.

"You know if you continue training like this she'll be the best trained dog." John tells her

"Well I want to show you that you made the right choice in letting me keep her." Tessa says taking another treat out the packet and repeating.

Suddenly the door opens and a hungover man walks out, running towards the edge of the porch and throwing up.

"Who the fuck are you?" Tessa and John both ask at the exact same time.

"Oh... I'm..." he muttered straightening back up awkwardly

"Ah, clean your mouth for crying out loud." John tells him, the man wipes his mouth before sticking his head into the bush again.

"He's my assistant, Daddy." Beth tells her dad walking out, she hands a glass of water with a pill in it to him; "Drink this. Walk it off. I need you focused."

The three Duttons watch as Jason goes to walk on the grass.

"Walk it off is a metaphor, Jason." Beth says frustrated, "Go inside, take a shower.

"Don't see much focus in his future." John says standing up walking to Beth

"Ah, he'll be fine." Beth chuckled, "Hangovers build character."

"We need a new attorney for the ranch." John changes the subject.

"Why, what did Jamie do?" Beth asks

"What didn't Jamie do?" Tessa replies

"Chose himself." John explains

"Well, that shouldn't surprise you." Beth shrugs, "What are you gonna do about it?"

"I'm gonna take away the thing he left us for." John replies before walking inside.

Beth and Tessa look at each other Beth's eyes falling on the brown and white puppy.

"When did we get a dog?" Beth asks

"Found her yesterday." Tessa explained, "she's cute don't you think." She lent down pick her up, attempting to pass her over to Beth.

"I think she's cute from a distance." Beth tells her, Tessa shakes her head with a chuckle.

"This one here from wildlife defense... is gonna require a litigator who specializes in environmental law." Beth tells John as the sat in the office, Tessa sat on a large arm chair a few feet away.

She was all for the family drama, she listens as Beth listed of things they need attorney, since Jamie was no longer welcome at the ranch.

"We need to find an attorney who does everything." John states as though it was easy.

"They don't exist, Dad." Beth replies, "One thing I'll say about Jamie... his melon head comes with a lot of information."

"Hey." Tessa smiles holding up the puppy as Rip walks in.

"My speech worked." Rip chuckled, Tessa nodded.

"Can it wait?" Beth asks standing up

"No, it can't wait." Rip shakes his head walking towards John, "Sir."
