"Hey Tater tot." Tessa smiles, she was standing by the round yard watching the ranch hands sort the cattle.

"How's the arm?" Tate asks

"Yeah it's alright." Tessa tells him, "you can't tell my daddy remember." She reminds him, as John walks over

"I know." Tate tells her

"Looks like you're mine." John smiles coming over to the two, "What do you want to do?"

"I wanna go to the river." Tate tells him

"Tess?" John asks turning to her

"No thanks." Tessa says, she was in no state to ride a horse, her shoulder was throbbing. She  didn't think pain could be this bad. She planned on sitting on the couch and watching tv all day.

"Come on then." John says grabbing Tate and heading towards the barn. "You stay out of trouble Tess, if you need anything go find Rip."

Tessa nods, "have fun."

"Someone's turning into me." Beth states, Tessa span around, Beth was standing behind her in the kitchen. Tessa was dosing her self up on Panadol yet again.

"That's about the third time today." She adds, "what's going on sweetheart."

"I still have a headache." She lies

"You expect me to believe that?" Beth asks

Tessa sighed; "Me, Kayce and Tate were out yesterday. We found this van on the reserve, there was a girl inside. I..." Tessa trailed off

"What happened Tess?" Asked Beth growing worried.

"I killed somone." She choked out, "he was going to shoot Kayce. Then I got shot in the shoulder, I don't know what to do."

"Honey." Beth sighed, giving her a hug, "have you told daddy?"

Tessa shook her head; "can I have a look?" Beth asks

"It's all bandaged up." Tessa tells her

"Have you been changing the bandages?" Beth asks, Tessa shook her head.

"It only happened yesterday." Tessa replied, "haven't really had the time."

"Come into the bath room and I'll redress it." Beth tells the young girl.

Tessa takes her shirt off before she sits down on the edge of the bath tub, Beth washes her hands then pulls out a first aid kit from the drawer.

"The wrapped you up good." Beth comments the bandages going around Tessa's chest and shoulder. She begins to unwrap it before carefully peeling off the large Band-Aid.

"Well shit Tess." Beth shakes her head, as she looks at the large wound, dried blood all around it "you've done a good job of it." Her whole shoulder was red and swollen.

Beth carefully wiped it with a towel to clean the gunk before applying a cream to the wound.

"This doesn't look good." She tells her younger sister.

"I know." Tessa says, "but you can't tell daddy. That girl doesn't want anyone know what happened to her."

Beth nods, as she begins to bandage it back up; "just tell me if it gets worse."

"I will." Tessa reassured

Tessa sat on the couch with John, the two off them watching a movie. Tessa shot around as she heard a siren, only to be met with red and blue flashing lights out the window.

"Oh fuck." She muttered, following her dad to the front door. The pulled open, two police cars parked out the front

"John Dutton Step out with your hands up." A voice came over the megaphone

"No stop." Tessa yelled running forward, "it was me." All the policeman exchange glances, "I was the one with the gun yesterday."

"Stay where you are mr Dutton. Tessa Turn around until I tell you to stop." The man ordered. Tessa turned around to face her dad, her back to the police.

"Stop." He calls, "Walk backwards towards the sound of my voice."

"I'm sorry daddy." Tessa muttered, "I love you."

"I love you too." John tells her, he wanted to run forwards hug her, tell her it'll be ok. But the best he could offer was; "I'll get you out of this mess. It's okay."

"Ring Kayce." Tessa adds, John looked confused of course his youngest son was messed up in whatever was going on.

Tessa lifted her hands to the back off her head, slowly walking backwards down the porch steps.

"Stop." The man calls once she was on the gravel. "Go ahead and get down on both knees."

"Hey, where's Tess?" She heard Jamie question appearing at the door, his face falling as it landed on her.

"Put your hands on the gravel in front of you." The police orders, "Walk your body out so it's flat."

Tessa slowly lay down, her hands out to her side, a few tears dripping down her face. Jamie and John stood watching in the doorway in disbelief.

"Cuffing." The man yelled, Tessa let out a small yelp as her injured shoulder was harshly pushed behind her back, forced into a pair of handcuffs.

Then she was stood up and forced into the car. John and Jamie stood there watching as the small child was driven away. No idea what had happened or what she had done.
