Tessa managed to sit up as the black truck approached, her blurry eyes could just make out the Triple creek ranch logo on the side.

"Tess." she heard a familiar voice filled with worry, "You need to stay awake."

"Is she going to be ok Bodhi?" another voice asked his brother,

"Yeah, Kash." Eliza reassures, Tessa groaned as Bodhi bent down to pick her up, "Sorry." the teen apologized awkwardly adjusting her in his arms. with a lot of pain, Bodhi managed to get her into the truck.

"Ring John." Bodhi ordered handing Eliza his phone, before pulling out and driving straight to the hospital.

"He's not answering." Eliza tells her brother

"Try Kayce." Bodhi replies easing his foot more and more onto the pedal, he was defiantly going over the limit.

"He isn't either." Kash said worried

"Rip..." Tessa muttered from the back seat.

"Ring Rip?" Kash asked, spinning around to face her, only getting a single nod for an answer.

"It's not the time, Bodhi." Rip answered, he sounded worried and angry.

"Rip, it's Eliza." the girl quickly told him, "Tessa's been shot."

"Where?" Rip questioned growing concerned

"Every-fucking-where." Kash yelled

"Fuck!" Rip yelled, "So's John, How bad is she?"

"I don't know." Bodhi admits, "There's three bullet wounds."

Tessa lets out a groan as she awoke, pulling herself up.

"Fuck." she muttered unable to put much weight on her right shoulder. she glanced down at the IV in her arm, before pulling it out. The girl reached for each wound gently touching, the painkillers she had been given weren't helping much and she had first hand experience with a badly infected bullet wound. She carefully stood up just as the door opened, Rip walking in.

"Jesus, Tess." he muttered, "Where do you think your going."

"Outta here." she muttered as though it was obvious, "This has fuckin knobs on it."

"Sit your ass back down." Rip ordered, Tessa shot him daggers as she sat back down on her bed.

"How many times was I shot?" She asked curiously

"Three." Rip tells her, "one shot punctured a lung. And you got a concussion, you hit your head pretty hard." Tessa rubbed her hand across the bruise near the side of her eye.

"Did Kash find me?" The girl looked towards Rip.

"Yeah, Bodhi picked Kash and Eliza up on his way home from town." Rip confirms, "they found you in the side of the road."

"What about my horse?" She asked

"Horses always come home Tess, you know that."

"Ok." Tessa breathed out a sigh of relief which soon vanished when she realised her dad wasn't here, every time she was in hospital he'd been right there when she woke up.

"Is Daddy ok?" she asked, she remembered the phone call on the way to the hospital.

"That's not a conversation for now." Rip tells her

"Why did you come?" Tessa adds, "why not Kayce or Beth?"

"Tessa..." Rip begins
