Jungkook stepped into the room, flanked by his guard, and the air felt charged with an unspoken tension. My heart raced as I saw him, all the emotions I had been trying to contain flooding to the surface. I couldn't hold back anymore.
I marched toward him, my voice trembling with desperation. "What happened to my father?"
His expression shifted, surprise flickering in his eyes. "He died on a mission, Y/N."
"Tell the truth, Jungkook!" I shouted, the words erupting from me like a dam breaking. The guard moved to step in, but I didn't care. In a wild surge of anger, I grabbed the gun from the guard's holster, aiming it directly at Jungkook. "Tell the truth!"
The guards froze, tension coiling in the air. They looked ready to pounce, but Jungkook held up a hand, his voice low and commanding. "If you move a step toward her, I'll have your corpses sent home."
Fear washed over the guards, and they hesitated, taking a cautious step back. Jungkook turned to me, his brow furrowed in frustration. "What is your fucking problem, Y/N?"
I felt the tears spill over, my heart breaking with every word. "I know you killed my dad, Jungkook. Why did you do this to me?"
His response was icy. "He betrayed us, Y/N. What the fuck do you expect me to do? He was a disloyal man."
"Stop saying bad about my father!" I cried, my voice raw with emotion. "Even if he betrayed you, he is your wife's father! You didn't even think about that. How can I trust you?"
Jungkook's face hardened into an impenetrable mask. "I don't care who the fuck he is. I punish those who disobey me, and your so-called father didn't even take care of you."
My heart raced with rage and hurt. "He is my father, Jungkook! You can't just dismiss that."
He sighed heavily, frustration etched in every line of his face. "Stop thinking about it. Move on."
I exploded, anger coursing through my veins. "How can you ask me to move on? Have you moved on from your mother's death? You're still in trauma, but you want me to just let this go?"
Jungkook's expression shifted to fury in an instant. He lunged forward, snatching the gun from my hands, his grip tight. "You've crossed your fucking limits, Y/N," he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
With that, he turned and left, the door slamming shut behind him. I stood there, my world crashing down around me, hot tears streaming down my face. The reality of everything felt suffocating.
Julia and Hana rushed in, concern etched on their faces, but I couldn't bear their sympathy. I pushed past them, the raw pain boiling over. "I hate you, Jungkook!" I shouted into the void, my voice breaking as I fled to my old room.
Once inside, I slammed the door and sank to the floor, my body wracked with sobs. The anger, the betrayal, the overwhelming grief—they all crashed over me like waves. I felt utterly lost, torn between the love I had once felt for Jungkook and the searing pain of my father's death. The conflicting emotions twisted in my chest, and I couldn't escape the turmoil.
I buried my face in my hands, letting the tears flow freely, feeling as if I was drowning in a storm with no way out.
Hours had passed since I locked myself in the room, but the anger was still burning inside me, hotter than ever. Every thought felt like a dagger, twisting deeper into my chest. Jungkook's cold words echoed in my head, repeating like a nightmare that wouldn't end.
