Jungkook's POV:

When Y/N walked out of the cabin last night, I let her go.

I was angry. Stubborn. Still holding on to that argument like it meant something. I told myself she just needed time. That she'd come back once she cooled off.

But deep down, I felt it—that eerie quiet that settled after she left. Like something had been ripped out of the air. The cabin didn't feel the same without her. Her absence echoed through every room like a warning I refused to hear.

I barely slept. Tossed and turned. Checked my phone more times than I could count. Still no message. Still no sign.

She just needs time, I repeated like a mantra.

Morning came.

The sun bled through the curtains, and something in me snapped.

She should've been back by now.

I sat up, heart pounding.

"Y/N?" I called out, standing in the middle of the cabin. No reply. "Y/N, this isn't funny."

I checked every room. Empty.

I stormed out the front door, calling her name louder. My chest tightened as I circled the cabin—woods, trail, back porch. Nothing.

"Taehyung!" I yelled, my voice sharper than I intended. "Jimin!"

They came out quickly, eyes still heavy with sleep.

"Is she not back yet?" Taehyung asked, suddenly alert.

"She never came back," I said, panic already bubbling beneath my skin. "She's not answering her phone either."

"Maybe she crashed somewhere in the woods," Jimin offered. "She was upset. Let's go check the area."

We started searching, our calls piercing through the quiet forest. I tried to stay calm, but every step felt heavier, every second longer.

We found her phone first.

It was near the trail, lying in the dirt like it had been dropped in a hurry. My heart sank.

"This... this isn't right," I muttered, staring at the cracked screen. "She'd never leave this behind."

We regrouped fast. I turned to Jiwoo, Luca, and Alex.

"Did she say anything to you guys?"

"No," Jiwoo whispered, worry all over her face. "I thought she was with you..."

"She wasn't," I snapped, then caught myself. "She left after we argued. I didn't think—" I stopped. Regret stabbed through my chest.

"Jungkook..." Alex started.

"She wouldn't just disappear," I said, voice low and strained. "Something happened."

The realization hit me like a truck: I let her walk away. I ignored the pain in her voice. I didn't run after her. And now she was gone.

"I messed up," I said, eyes fixed on the ground. "I should've stopped her. I should've listened."

The guilt was suffocating. I felt it in my lungs, in my spine, in every beat of my heart.

I could barely breathe.
