I went up to grab my bag to take with me since I had to return the files that I borrowed from the library. Charles came out and asked if I wanted to take his car or my car, I said that I was fine with taking my car. Charles said he would drive into town that way I could do research on my phone. "Charles what do you know about the New Dawn Ship and Homestead since you are from this area," not much but my friend James Wright might be able to give you more details than I can, if you want, I can get in touch with James to have him call you," I would differently appreciate that," I'll get in touch with him today he usually have break around lunch time," ok, do you need to stop anywhere before we head to the library," no just to the library." We took off and half-way there I noticed that there was a car following us and so did Charles so he pull into the police station to see if they follow us in there, we park and the park right beside us. I saw the lady and knew who it was it was Jessica so. I rolled down my window to see what they need and why they were following me. " Jessica how are you doing," I'm doing ok just went over to the Homestead but you already took off before we could talk there," I have to return some files to the library and want to check some more files out," what are you looking for," information on The New Dawn ship and The Homestead," why are you trying to find information out on it," for my book that I want to write about it, but enough with small talk what do you guys need," we got a trial date for Oliver and Kelly," ok when is the trial," it will be held on November 1,2024," ok we don't have much information until it get closer," ok, do you need anything else," there will be agents that will be following you to make sure you are safe until after the trial and we will be around to," ok, I'm good to leave," yes." We took off for the library so we could get back to the homestead. Charles asked if I wanted him to come in and I said he could wait out here that I wouldn't be long, and he said he would try to call James while I was in the library. I got into the library and return the file and ask to check out the other files since these didn't have much information that I needed. Alexis saw me and came over to me," Heather how are you doing," I'm doing better," that good, when do you get your cast off," not for another month," let get you the files," do you remember what files I need," yes, the files on The New Dawn Homestead and The New Dawn Ship," ok you have a good memory," thank you," your welcome." She had me wait at a table while she grabs the files for me, I look around and Charles walked in and sat by me." Charles everything ok," yes, I got a hold of James to see if you could talk to you about the Homestead and the New Dawn Ship," what time is he going to call me," he wanted us to come in he have several things to tell you,"Ok what time does he want to meet us and where does he want me us," he want us there at noon," what is his church name and how far is it," his church name is New Dawn Church, it here in New York, it town it going to take ten minutes to get there," ok, so we have a an hour before we have to leave do you care if I go through some of these files," no I don't mind at all, I can even help you if you want help," I don't mind the help at all."

Alexis came back to give me these files and said that these was all the files that they had on The New Dawn ship and The homestead. I said thank you and ask if I could check the files out so I didn't have to rush and she gave me the return slip date and left to help out another person that need help. I handed Charles a file so he could look through it. He found the second owner built the Homestead was John Thompson he was the second captain of New Dawn 1860 until 1872, I ask if there was any information on who the new captain, his name was Ethan Jones, he was on until 1885 when the ship was found on 1885 by Naval Officer Jack Winchester," ok does he have and living relatives, he said we could ask James when we see him. I noticed the time and we had to get going. I put the files in my bag and I told Alexis that I would see her later, she told me to becareful. We got to the church and Charles ask if he could pick me up in two hours and I told him to becareful and I would be fine that there were agents around me right now. I grab my bag and told him that I would see him later. He waited until I got into the church to leave. I got into the church and ask a person where James Wright officer was, and they told me where to go. I knock on the door, and he told me to come in and told me to take a seat. He was on the phone so I told him to take his time. I took out my phone so that I could record our conversation instead of writing the conversation down. I took out a file to look through while James was on the phone. I discover that the ship was completed abandoned when Jack Winchester found the ship. I keep on looking on looking at the file and there were barrels of alcohol still intact and barrels of jewelry still intact. I keep on digging in the file and the captain item was still on the ship. James clears his throat to let me know that he was off the phone I put my bookmark on the page and put it in my bag." I hear that you are looking into the New Dawn and Homestead," yes, I got permission from Lexi Jones to write about the ship and the homestead," ok I know that the Jones have a long history in Cortland, New York," what do you mean," the town sheriff in the 1870 until the late 1900 didn't care for the Jones family," do you know why," the sold alcohol and drugs to the town, the sheriff suspect that the captain little girl was a kidnapped but couldn't prove it since no one came forward," did the sheriff know where she was taken from," no he could never find out," when the ship was found abandon did they find the little girl on the ship," no but where the little girl slept at the room was all bloody," did they ever find any bodies ," no bodies were ever found," did the sheriff ever stop looking," no the case still remain open," have local sheriff look at the case," no the FBI even look into but Lexi and Ben will not allow them to look into," then why would they give me permission to write the book, since true crime it what I usually write," maybe they think you won't find out any information on the case," if there one thing information I usually pretty good at finding out," I could tell that by your two books that you have out," you read them," yes both my wife and I have read them," I do know when I start something I don't give up," I have more files that is in storage that I'll give to you to look at but will need them back," that works, just let me know when I can pick up," I'll, it was nice meeting you," same if I have more question can I contact you," yes," I'll let you get back to work thank you for meeting with me," your welcome."
