         A Week Later                                                                                                                                                                                    I was on my computer checking my emails to see if I need to respond to any of the emails. I saw that I had an Email from her, so I open it to see what she needed from me or if she need a draft for my new book.

         Dear Heather,                                                                                                                                                                                    I just wanted to check on you heard what happen to your father and to you, my boss heard what happen and he is giving you an extension on your draft for your new book, you have four months to get the draft written and turn in. We are praying for your father and your healing if you need to talk just call me or email me anytime of the day or even at night, have a great week.

  I email her back and told her thank you for the checking in on me and my father, I asked her to tell her boss I said thank you. I shut down my computer as Dean was coming into see me," Heather how are you feeling," I'm feeling good no headache or pain and ready to head home," I know we got your test result back and we can take you out of the ICU," awesome when will I able to go home," in the morning if your not in any pain, " ok, how is Zack doing," he doing ok we are keeping an close eye on him and he want us to remove the bullet," ok how dangerous is to remove the bullet or is it dangerous to leave the bullet in," it dangerous either way," ok he can decide if that what he wants then do it, but if his heart give out do not resuscitate just to let him go," ok the nurse will be up in a little bit to change room." Dean left and Charles came in with Taco Bell's for me which I thank him, and he sat down next to me so that way he could eat to. We got done eating and the nurse said my new room were ready so the wheel me down to my new room and James were there he gave me a hug and help me in bed which I said I would ok on my own that I didn't need help but the nurse said while I was here that someone was going to help me at all time and I knew there were no point to say anything, before the nurse left she told me if I need anything to press the call button that she would be back in a little while to check on me.  James sat down next to me and Charles said he would be back that he was going to get coffee he ask both of us if we need anything and we both said no, he said he would be back." Heather how are you feeling," I'm feeling better but just worried about Zack," understandable, have you heard from Ava," no we don't talk very much especially after I left Oliver," why, did you get along before," she don't believe in divorce which I don't either but I wasn't going to let him cheat and let him think that was ok, he was going to ask for one sooner or later anyway, we never saw eye to eye especially after I told her that I was going to become an author and I was going to look in joining law enforcement," ok so it always been rough relationship between you," yes ever since I told her I didn't want to be at stay at home wife," that not for ever one, have you took any college course on law enforcement," I told him I took the police academy and graduation from it," how come you never join a police department," Oliver and Lilly and then became an author," have you through about joining the local police department," no not with everything that is going on," you should if you really want to," I know that," ok I can have William stop by he been asking how you been doing," ok that works," ok I have to get back to work, I'll keeping on praying for Zack and you," thank you." Charles came in the room as Jame left and they both said good-bye and they would see each other later." Heather what did he want," wanted to check in on Zack and I and to talk, he having William come by later on today," ok what for is something wrong that I don't know about," no," then why is he having William coming by for," are you jealous," a little I been wanting to ask you something just haven't found the right time," ok just ask with me there isn't going to be a right time," ok will you be my girlfriend," yes are you sure you want to put up with all of my troubles that follow me," yes wouldn't ask if I didn't," ok," so why is William coming by," I want to talk to him about joining the police department," you have a diploma in law enforcement," yes for five years," ok you will have to let William know we are dating," I know," when will he be by," I'm not quite sure," ok,"  where did Tim and Annette go," they had to leave they have a new job to do," ok." Charles turn on the TV so they could have some back round noise while they work. Heather was looking at the last file she had the The New Dawna ship and The Homestead and found the original captain of the ship until 1859, he was killed on June 19,1859 from being shot in the back of the head, then Scott Dawn took Captain of the ship and change its name as the original name he didn't like the name, it name was Bright Eye OF The Sea and he Change the name to New Dawn which I can see why he change the name for and when the ship were half burn  in 1872 Ethan took over 1872 and had rebuilt and ran the ship until he disappear in 1886 also saw that  Scott had built The Homestead not the Jones family like Lexi and Joey telling everyone. I also saw that Robert had a family that disappear in 1859. I got thought that file and I put the file away and told Charles what I discovered in the file and Charles ask what his last name was I told him it was Martin, he put the pieces that was related to Oliver, it makes sense when Oliver said that he said his 16 great grandfather but I thought he was crazy now I know I might have John and Jessica to talk to him to see if he have any files that I could use for my book. I would wait until I talked to Alexis to see if there were any more files in the library that I could go through. Charles told me to get some sleep before William get here to talk to me and I knew he was right but wasn't quite tired I ask him to get me my computer, he got my computer, and I told him thank you. I started working on my rough draft when the door flew up and Charles drop his stuff and stood in front of me and I tried to see who was standing the door but Charles was guarding where I couldn't exactly see who was at the door. I was able to look under his arms and noticed that it was Lexi by herself. I could tell by the looks on her face she wasn't mad, so I ask Charles to move out of the way and I could tell that he was bit hesitant to move out of the way. " Lexi what do you need," just wanted to check in on you," I'm perfectly find," that good," it is, I know that I owe you money for the rest of my stay at the homestead, how much do I owe you," you owe 40," ok I'll get you the money when I get out of the hospital," ok but it no rush, I also came by to see if you found anything more out about The New Dawn and The Homestead," no I haven't found anything that I can use," ok so are you still going to write the book," no like I said in the beginning I'll write about true crime," ok I have to get going just want to see how you were doing," thank you." Lexi left and we were both glad she left because she nothing but trouble. I got back on my computer to get the first of my draft done, I was half-way through the draft when there was a knock on the door so Charles open it to let William in and told us he was going to get dinner he ask what I want to eat for dinner, I told him to get me a chicken salad for dinner with a sprite, he came over to me and gave me a kiss and told me he would be back that if I needed anything to just text him and he would grab it before he came back.  William came over sand sat in the chair next to me before he started to talk to me." I heard from James that you have gradate from the police academy and my police department need more officers, would you be interested be in working for me," yes, I gradate five years ago the academy, I definitely will come to work you, I need to heal before I can come to work for you," I know that and are Charles and you dating," yes," ok so you wouldn't able to ride with him" I know that," ok I'm going to have you fill the paperwork and I also have to run a back round check on you," ok that fine." I fill out the paperwork and it took me a little while to fill out. I just got the paperwork almost fill out when Charles came back with lunch, he told me he also got the whole pizza for all of us, Charles ask William if he wanted a couples of pieces pizza and he said he would after we get done with the paperwork that I was filling out for him so I could get this job. I got done with the paperwork and headed back to William," Heather after I get this file and do the back round check you will have to come in to train and fill out paperwork for a uniform and a service weapon," ok how long will it be before I know anything two weeks," ok," I'll call when get the back round check done," ok sound good," I have to get back to the office and I'll see you guys later," ok sound good." William took a couple slice of pizza and left. Charles and I finish lunch when Dean came in and he look like he had some bad news for me." Heather how are you feeling," I'm doing good, what is wrong," I just got done with Zack surgery," how did it go," it didn't go to well we were able to get the bullet but it his heart stop as we were getting the surgery completed," ok is he awake," no he on life support," ok," it up to you if you want to leave him on life support," ok, do you think will make a full recovery," I can't say," ok leave him on life support for a week and if the no approvement  then take him off," ok I'll let you rest," ok." Dean left and Charles ask if I was ok and came over and told me to move over and he hug me. I laid my head on his chest and just close my eyes because I didn't want to think any more. Charles saw that Heather fell asleep, so he covers them up with a heavy blanket that he bought from there house. Charles grab his computer so he could get some more paperwork done William called him, so he answers to see what he wants." Hi Charles," hi William what is that you need," I just got Heather back round check completed and it came back clean, so we are checking her social media, and I should've have that back in an hour," ok Heather sleeping right now," ok, I forgotten to tell you that you are no longer on Heather protection detail," ok why and who going to take my place," Heather and you are dating, and  Athena Whitlock," ok how did you know that Heather and I are dating since I haven't notified you," I saw you kissing her before you left, and Heather told me while I was there," ok give me a call after you check her social media," I'll, how is Zack doing," not good he in a coma," he was awake this morning," the doctors did the surgery to get the bullet and it went good until the end when his heart stop," oh man can't catch a break," no they can't, when is Athena going to be here," she on her way now." Charles put his phone on the stand and went back to finishing his paperwork that need to be completed for the week. He just got the paperwork completed when there was a knock at the door, he couldn't get up to answer the door so he told them to come in. Athena walked into the room and sat down across from us." Charles do you know that you should've got up," I know but look how comfortable Heather is," I know but still not the safety thing to do," I know but you knock most people that want to harm Heather they would bust the door up," ok you have a point there, do you mind if I do my paperwork done," no go ahead I just finishing my paperwork for the week," that good I always tried to put my paperwork off until the last minute," I don't blame you for that, I usually do mine everyday but with everything I been putting it off with everything that been happening the last couples of days." Athena noticed that Charles fell asleep on, His head was laying on Heather head and had in protective hold. She got her phone and took a picture of them which she would send them both the picture later.  Athena finishes her paperwork and turn the Tv off. The doctor came in and Athena woke Heather up so the doctor could talk to her."
