Chapter 4

            We got back to the homestead when Lexi came out and ask if we would be joining them for dinner. Charles told her that he was taking me out to dinner for a date and she told us to have fun and if it wasn't late that she would have dessert down in the dining room for us, we told her thank you and start to go to our rooms. Charles told me that he would knock on the door when it was time to go. I went into my room and shut my door and went to the closet to pull out my navy-blue dress with my black heels for tonight. I went to the bathroom so I could grab my shower so I could get ready. I was half-way through with get dress when someone knocked at my door, I got my dress on so I was fully dress. I answer my door and Ben was at my door, he asked if he could come in and Charles came up and I told them both to come in. I shut my door and we all sat down, Charles sat by me and Ben sat across from me." Heather did you get the note and files I left for you," yes why did you warn me with it being your wife," Lexi have a family member that will kill you if you discover out the truth and I would end up in a grave with you if they found out that I gave you the files," I contacted Arthur to buy a house so I'll hear from him tomorrow," ok are you going to do anymore research," yes but I'm going to put it on pause until I move out of here," ok Charles will you be move out with you," yes we are getting closer than what I expected to," ok don't go anywhere by yourself," I don't plan on it and the FBI are still watching me until after my ex-husband trial," ok if you guys I can book you guy in this room together," that work with us," I'll let you go," do you want the files back before I move out," no just put in a package and bring it by," ok." I let Ben out of the room wondering if it worth writing this book, Charles came up behind me to let me know that I wouldn't be alone. I turn around and gave him a hug and he told me to finish get ready and we would out to dinner. I went back in the bathroom to grab my high heels and got them on and I pulled my hair into a simple ponytail.  I left the bathroom and grab my bag and told Charles I was ready to head out. We left the room and we were almost out the door when Lexi ask us to come into her office and Ben was there, I was ready to throw up from all of the fear that was building up inside me. Charles pulled me into him and told me to calm down that everything was going to be ok." Heather, and Charles I hear from Ben that you would like to share a room," yes," ok, that work I just have to do paperwork to fill out and I hear that you are going to be leaving us," yes as soon as we find a house we love it here but want our place," I complete understand, is it ok if I talk to you by yourself Heather," yes, Charles I'll be right out," Lexi I have a project to work on in the shop I'll see you later if Charles need help moving just let us know," I'll thank you Ben," your welcome," Heather do you know when you will be moving out," I'm not quite sure will let you when I hear something," ok how are you coming with the research," I haven't found much out beside the file I return that captain Ethan Jones had a little girl with him on board," do you think it was true that he had a little girl with him," no because none of the files I been looking at say anything else about the girl," still have a lot of files to go through if there was a little girl it might be in the other files," so you don't have much to go on right now," no I don't think I'll much to go on," will you still able to write about the ship and the homestead," no I based my stories on true event so it hard to write when I have no fact about the place," ok will you keep me update on anything you find out," yes I have to get going," ok have a good night." I left the office and Charles was standing right by the door waiting for me to come out. He asked if I was ok, I told him that I was ok and not to worried.  We left the homestead when the local cops pull us over. The cop came over and ask us to follow them to the station and we told them that we would. I pull out my phone to Jessica to let her know what was going on and she told us that she was right behind us not to worried. We got to the police station and Charles came over and open my door for me. I grab my bag and he held my hand the whole way in and Jessica and Henry follow us into the station. The deputy's show us to a room that we could wait for the sheriff, I ask if I was in trouble and they assure me that I wasn't in trouble. We all sat down to wait for the sheriff to come in." Jessica who is your new partner," his name is Henry Wood," nice to meet you Henry," nice to meet you to," how is Nolan doing," he is doing good, he gets his cast off next month and then he has to a boot on," that good," it is."  We sat in silence, I got the one file that I got from the library gave me so I could have something to do while we waited. I saw that Ethan had been ban from New York City for attempted kidnapping on a young child that was no more than two-year-old. I put my bookmark in place. The sheriff came in and sat down across from me he asked if I wanted everyone to stay or go out while we talk, and I said that they could stay while we talked." Heather my name is William Coleman,  I heard you are staying at The New Dawn Homestead," I'm right now going Charles I'm going to be moving soon since I been warn to get out of there before I killed," what do you mean," I got a note through my door warning me to leave due to research on The New Dawn and The Homestead," that what I wanted to talked about," what do you mean, I know Ben warned me not to let Lexi know what I found out," have you asked her anything," yes about a little girl that was with the captain," he didn't have not daughter my father said that she a taken from her family,"  I know I found out that Ethan killed her family," have you let Lexi know that," no," smart have you found any more information out," yes her name was Mary Lockwood, she had just turn five when Ethan killed her family and took her," ok do you know where he took her from," I haven't got that far, I know her aunt report her missing," do you know her name," no it didn't have her name in the file," ok I can have my deputy's look up the name," ok, what did you need to see me for," I would like to know if find out the whole story if you can let me know," why do you want to know, I know it an open case but with Ethan being dead there not much you can do about it," that true but Lexi had a author look into and whatever he had found while he was doing his research he ended up dead," do you think Lexi had him killed," yes, but we can't prove it," ok that would make since that Ben said we would ended up in a grave if I told her what I found," Ben Jones," yes why," Ben was the author killed," Heather are you ok," Lexi was talking to him," what did he look like," he 6 ft tall, brown hair and green eye," that is Lexi brother not her husband," I'm endanger of being killed," I have no idea," do you know a Arthur Fray," yes he a local realtor here," Ben told me to call him to find me a house," ok I can assure you that Arthur is a good person and he undercover," if he find me a house will he tell Lexi and Ben," no he will give them one of our decoy," ok, what do you need from me," while you are there just stay alive and keep an eye out for anything that seem out of place," ok are we good to leave, I'm hungry," yes if you need anything here is my personal cellphone number," thank you," your welcome." We all left the police station. Jessica said that they would keep an eye on us but that they wanted us to enjoy out date. I check the car to make sure that was no tracking device on the car and there was none, Jessica asked what I was looking for and I told her why and then I gave the tracking device. Henry gave Jessica evidence bag to put the tracking device so they could take to the lab to see where it came from. We left the police station, Charles ask if Green Arch Restaurant was ok to go, I told him that would be fine. We got there and someone came over and park the car for us.

   We got back to the homestead and Ben came up and ask if he was moving into my room tonight and we told him that he was going to being moving in tomorrow morning, he told us breakfast would be ready at 8 am sharp, we both said that sound good. Charles walked me to my door. I ask if he wanted to stay in my room and he said that would be right back, he was going to grab his pajamas. We both decide would walk together to his room to grab his stuff, I shut the door and he told me to take a seat while he grabs his item that he wanted for tonight. Charles got done packing his bag and we left the room to go back to my room when I ran right into Ben again, I told him that we would get the rest of Charles item tomorrow, Ben said that was ok just to let them know when we were done cleaning the room out, I told him that we would. We got back to my room and shut the door. I told him I would right out after I got change into my pajamas and that he could shower after I got out of the bathroom, and he said ok. I went into the bathroom and got dressed and brush my teeth and told Charles he was good to go into the bathroom. I got my phone out and message my father to let him know I was doing ok and that I would be moving out of the homestead, that I would keep him update on the full details and he text back and said if I need anything to let him know and he ask if I talked to mother and I told him not since that night I left the house. I just put my phone on the charger when Charles came back into the room." Heather do you you mind if I take a few pillows for the couch," no you can sleep in the bed," are you sure I don't mind sleeping on the couch," no you can sleep on the bed," ok." I woke up with my phone going off and Charles was holding me so it made it difficult to grab my phone but was able to gran my phone." Hi this is Heather speaking," hi Heather tis is Arthur, can you meet me in an hour," yes where at," at Whole Heart Cafe," yes is it ok if I bring a close friend," yes will see you then." Charles wake up," Heather is everything," yes, we are meeting Arthur at Whole Heart Cafe in an hour," ok," I'm going to grab a quick shower before we head out if you want to get ready out here you can." I grab my outfit for the day and went into the bathroom to get ready.
