Chapter 2: Figorus Dominum's Rank Up

2 years have passed since the River's Incident, Figorus, Rigolus, and Accendus have gotten stronger. Figorus Dominum, became popular amongst the SF Rankings, this led to him being always wanted. The fighters across the SF Rankings have been waiting for him for 2 years since the River's incident. On the eve of Christmas, Figorus and his brothers celebrated his 17th birthday. They went to chill on the top of a hill with food and drinks. The brother's are having a good time, eating and making fun of Accendus while watching the sunset.

"Happy Birthday Figorus!!!!" Accendus and Rigolus greeted Figorus with big smiles. Accendus proudly followed up, " You are officially 17, Figorus, you can enter the SF Rankings now! I bet you'd beat everyone, even SF 1 and SF 2.", Accendus said. " Make sure you don't take the top spot too early Figorus, cause I'll be taking it hahaha", says Rigolus.

"Yeah... But you two will have to beat me first you know hahaha!" Figorus happily replied. Accendus says "I dont know brother, you're too strong, even for Rigolus and I combined, we can't beat you". Figorus smiles, " For now, but in a few years, I'm sure you both can take me on, no doubt"

"Make a wish ! Make a wish !", said Accendus. Rigolus lifts up the cake close towards Figorus's face. Figorus closes his eyes and silently wishes. He then blows the cake candles and laughs.

Rigolus brings the cake down. " You'll wait for us, right ? you promised". Figorus scrubs Rigolus's head. " You know I will, plus, I cannot leave Accendus behind, he might get bullied since he still cannot release his aura hahahah! ", makes fun of Accendus.

Accendus proudly rebuts " ha! just wait and see, I will surpass you two, I will become SF 1!". Rigolus smirks " Let's just see about that". Figorus grabs both of his brothers' heads and laughs.

The brothers made a promise to each other that they will dominate the SF Rankings and become the strongest fighters of their generation.

Figorus calls the attention of his brothers, " You know what tomorrow is right ?". " It's our parents' death anniversary," Rigolus replied. " We wake up early, and Accendus, make sure you dress properly this time". Ya ya I know...but first can we just eat now ? I am starving !". "Accendus, Rigolus, listen to me, I'll be on my way to Roundhouse City soon, you know that when you reach 17, you need to be out of the orphanage to settle down by yourself and study."

" You'll visit us, right Figorus ? You are safe alright" Accendus said. " I will try to visit you two every month. Headmaster Jake has already talked to me regarding school in Roundhouse City." Rigolus replies, "That city, well I guess you'll be going to North Masters University, that's the all boys school where our father and grandfather studied, you plan to be on top and continue their legacy."

" Yeah, before our father died, he told me to conquer the North Masters University and redeem our name", Figorus said. "What do you mean by redeeming our name ? aren't we Dominums, the strongest line of fighters. What seems to be the problem with our name". Accendus curiously asks. " I guess I never told you both since you were too young back then. Alright, I will tell you the story of how our parents, Horilus Dominum and Anastasia Nickel, died.

Rigolus replies, " I remember vaguely, they died in a car crash". " That's what we've been told... but I never told you how and why". Figorus changes to a serious mood now. Accendus becomes sentimental, "Our parents, I never knew them", he frowns. " I barely have memories with them, I was too young", Rigolus said.

Figorus looks at his brothers, " Alright, I guess it is time for me to reveal the truth of our parents' deaths".

Figorus told the truth on how their parents died.

12 years ago. On the eve of Christmas, the Dominum family were on the way back home after celebrating Figorus's 5th birthday. While Horilus Dominum was driving and enjoying the evening ride with his family, a van suddenly cut them off the road and stopped. Horilus hit the brakes immediately and checked on his family. Anastasia was holding a year old Accendus on the passenger seat, while a sleeping Rigolus and a curious Figorus were in the backseats. Eventually, some men rushed out the van with weapons and tried to shoot the car of the Dominum family. Horilus yelled to his family to buckle up, and he drove as fast as he could away from the van and the men with weapons. During the car chase, the van started catching up and shooting. Horilus was able to get out of the shooting and began to speed up more.
