Chapter 29: The White Aura

In the Sebastian Headquarters, another factory appeared in their radar.

" Judging from how the twins fight, they're carefully analyzing and studying Rockien while avoiding his grappling attempts." Marc said. " I got another one !" says Lucia. " Where is it dear ?" Flora asked. " Looks like my algorithm works....Look, one factory is located near the southwest border of Sidekick City. It's the same company, Treston. Judging from the digging marks of the past year, the facility is rather small compared to the one in Stonecrest Province." Lucia said. " Hmm...are you certain that's a Van Halen factory Lucia ?" Marcus asked. " I think so, look at these purchases, traces of transactions, Treston to Sidekick City Police Department." Lucia said.

" So it's Ares. That bastard really has corrupted the whole National Police under his command." Flora said.

" Ares and Anita have more political influence than me, the amount of power and resources at their disposal is unmatched...even with our wealth, they could easily cover this up. The fact that they could do all these, absolute control is just a few steps away from their reach." Marcus said.

"....Hmmm..." Flora thinks.

" Flora ? what is it ?" Marcus asks.

" These battles happening right now in the Plaza, these assassins, Jewon and the other Van Halens...something seems to not make sense." Flora said. " What do you mean not making sense, mother ?" Marc asked.

Marcus carefully watches the monitors "....you're right Flora" he said.

Lucia is confused, " What ?...what am I missing here ? Grandpa ? Grandma ?"

" If we analyze the assassins movements and fighting styles, we could see the difference between those who are drugged and those who are not...But we're dealing with the Van Halens themselves. After fighting a war with them for more than 60 years, I know they must have something bigger than just sending those assassins to capture the Dominum brothers." Flora said. " What ? What bigger could they possibly still have in the plot ?" Marc asked. "Grandma...why are you scanning for electrocurrent signals?" Lucia asked.

Flora uses the satellite to scan the whole plaza. In just a minute, huge waves of electrocurrent signals appear on their screens.

The Sebastians immediately understood what those electrocurrent signals mean. These signals mean one thing, they are planted bombs.

"Oh my god. Marcus !" Flora reacts.

Lucia is stunned, " Are those.."

"Bombs." says Marc.

" Bombs !!! ?? Why are there bombs in the plaza ?" Lucia panics.

" This is bad. Really, bad." says Marcus.

" They are not just bombs, those are C4s. And there are 10 of them across the plaza. One in the center church itself, where the brothers are." Flora said. " Damn you Van Halens." says Marc. They cannot believe the Van Halens have planted C4 explosives across the plaza.

" Shit. These C4s must be their failsafe, a contingency." Marc said. " Just in case they fail to capture the brothers, they would bomb the whole plaza along with everyone in it. And since some of their assassins are not drugged, they would be sacrificed in order to prevent them from selling the Van Halens out." Marcus said. " Father ! Can you send a bomb squad there?" Marc asked. " I can't, the Bomb squad department is directly under Ares's command." Marcus said. " But what are we gonna do ? even if those boys win their battles, they won't be able to outrun a combined blast of 10 C4s." Marc said.

" Lucia ! call one of your brothers" Flora said. " They are busy fighting right now grandma, I don't think they will answer my call." Lucia said. " Lucia, just do what your grandmother says." Marcus said.
