Chapter 24: Fulgur Ferrum

In the warehouse where the Dominum brothers are training. Accendus is on the second floor, Rigolus is at the staircase, hanging upside down, doing abdominal curls. " Figorus !" Accendus yelled. Figorus is at the ground floor training his kicks. " What ?" he asked. " We haven't actually asked since you were back with us...since you don't want to live with us, Where do you live ?" Accendus asked.

" Ahh...I can't tell you that either." Figorus replied.

Rigolus finished his set and got down, " Why not ? Figorus, ever since you came back, you barely told us anything about yourself..." Rigolus said. " I told you everything that happened to me the last 4 years. I also told you, I have changed, the place I live in, I can't tell you that, as well as living with you two in the apartment, it's for our own safety." Figorus said.

" What ?...so you see us now as liabilities ?...is that what you're saying ?" Rigolus said. " We want to spend more time with you Figorus...jeez man you've been gone for almost 4 years..." Accendus said.

" No, I don't see you as liabilities..." Figorus said.

" Then why ?" asks Rigolus.

Figorus stops his set. "...I have been trained for 3 years, went to missions that could have killed me, and every time after those missions that I survived, I come back here, I stay for a few weeks, then repeat...I always check on you two, I see Lex checking up on you two. And for almost 4 years, I always endured the pain of not being able to come back to you both, pains and sufferings from being away from you yet near you both, are much more painful than any other training and missions that I have ever done until now." he said.

" ....I understand." Accendus said.

" But after this war and all of this chaos, will we be together again ? before you go on your missions in that group of yours?" Rigolus said.

Figorus smiles at Rigolus, "... .I wouldn't ask for more," he said.

Accendus reacts. " Yes !!!!! ey !!!"

" Plus we do have a mission after this right ? you two are going to join me. My missions on The Serpent are not that frequently scheduled. I can't tell you much since The Serpent is a very confidential organization. But, when you two graduate and leave Roundhouse, you can come live with me, my house is much better than our apartment." Figorus said.

Accendus gets excited and frustrated at the same time. " Damn it, I still have more than 3 years !" he said. " What about me ? I'll graduate in less than 2 years." Rigolus said. " We'll worry about that when you graduate. For now, you two rest, I need to go now. Come back tomorrow." Figorus said.

" Figorus ! be careful" Accendus said.

" Yeah. I'll see you soon" Figorus replied.

Figorus left the warehouse. Accendus and Rigolus went back to their apartment to rest.

That night, The Circle had their meeting.

" There have been no reports nor incidents of students and streetfighters disappearing." Lucia said. "And according to the police and fight service authorities, crime rates have almost depleted a week after the lockdown." Alexander followed.

" Seems like the lockdown was effective." Oliver said.

" It seems, however, they surely anticipated this. They have organized crimes in the neighboring cities, which diverted the attention of our city's residents." Marcus said. " That's true, some of our relatives in the Nickel family were able to fight them off. However, they are strong and really organized." Luther said.

" I fought some of them just outside the northeast gate. The rumors were true, they were drugged. They are like robots, they don't even show emotions even when badly hurt." Alexander said. " How did you stop them Lex?" Lucia asked.
