Chapter 18: What's Holding Me Back ?

The legendary SF 1 reappeared after years. Everyone thought that the strongest spot has been vacant for over a decade, but they were wrong. Johen Van Halen refused to believe that the SF 1 does not exist in his generation, thus, the sudden appearance of SF 1. The rescue mission was a success and everyone got out alive. The Mayor of Roundhouse City is now addressing the citizens for its new and temporary protocols.

The 5 street fighters are being debriefed by Marc Sebastian and Alexander Nickel.

" We did a background check on the building you were held, captured. It seems that the building was once a laboratory for experiments, it was owned by Solen Van Halen, Jewon's father. We have now issued a search warrant for the building...", Alexander said.

" How did you escape ?" Marc asked.

"We woke up, we were chained. Damian and I figured out the mechanics of the chains, it looks like they were used for wild animals. Then we got out by beating the system." Damien answered.

" I see. Do you recognize your abductors ?" Marc said.

" They were Van Halens" Thunder said.

" We know they are, but who exactly ?' Marc asks.

" Jewon...and Rockien" Damian said.

" So they were there huh...." Marc said.

Accendus is upset and angry, " Jewon Van Halen...I am going to break him !" he said.

Marc looks at Accendus, " I understand where you are coming from" he said.

" No you don't ! how could you possibly understand huh! ?" Rigolus said.

Marc looks at Rigolus, " ....he killed your parents...I know, he tried to kill me too..."

" Fucking coward he is", Damian said.

" He was also the one who ordered the assassination of our eldest brother, I will never forgive him !" Accendus said.

" Look boys, we apologize for all of these, but we need to know what you experienced there, please." Alexander said.

" So you escaped the chains...given your health and situation at that time, they could have killed you, but they didn't..." Marc said.

" Jewon said they need us alive," Damien responded. " To join his force as his underfighters and assassins", Damian followed.

Marc says, " I see ... .but still they could have still overpowered you, unless..."

" Someone helped us..." Rigolus said.

" Help you ? who ?" Alexander asked.

" ....SF 1..." Thunder said.

Marc and Alexander are shocked, " SF 1 ? but...who is he ? I thought the spot was vacant for years", Alexander said.

" We were trapped, and found ourselves in a deadend room", Damien said. " The 3 individuals stopped the army of underfighters", Damian said.

" Who are they ?" Marc asked.

" They are students and street fighters from South Masters University." Damian said. " But one of them stands out...he's SF 2." Damien said.

" SF 2 ? ...and SF 1 ? who's SF 2 ?" Alexander asked.

" Johen Van Halen", Rigolus answered.

" Johen Van Halen ?...I thought he's just SF 8 .... so he deliberately decreased his battle index limit to a certain point to remain unsuspicious...waiting for their time and opportunity to go all out...i see", Alexander said.
