🤫MAXINE'S POV
It had been a long day. After the report and the tension that followed, we finally settled down for dinner.
The mood was lighter now relieved, even. Everyone had done their part, and our investigation was moving forward.
Still, something heavy weighed on me, a knot in my stomach I couldn't shake off. It wasn't just about the mission or the organization. It was about Aiesha. Every time I saw her, that feeling crept in, making me feel like I was losing control.
Haysst...I needed a drink.
Without thinking too much about it, I found myself in the bar area of our headquarters.
The burn of the liquor in my throat felt good....too good.
"Maxine, that's enough," she said softly, pero mukhang magagalit pa siya sakin dahil naka kunot na yung noo niya hahahaha.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "I'm fine, Aiesha." sagot ko dito.
"No, you're not," she replied, at mas lumapit pa sa pwesto ko. "Ang rami mo ng nainom, lasing kana"
I downed another glass, ignoring her words. But as I moved to pour again, Aiesha placed her hand over mine, stopping me.
"Please, Maxine. Don't do this," she whispered.
I stared at her hand on mine, feeling a surge of something I couldn't explain. Her touch felt electric, sending a jolt through me.
My thoughts, already clouded by the alcohol, began to blur even more. Before I knew what I was doing, I let the glass fall from my hand, turning to face her fully.
"Aiesha..." mahinang tawag ko sa kanya, hindi ko na alam yung gagawin ko at tinitigan ko lang siya.
Her eyes met mine, and I could see the concern there, but I was past the point of caring. All I could focus on was her, how close she was, how her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to say something but couldn't find the words.
And then, without warning, I leaned in and kissed her.
It wasn't soft, or gentle. It was messy, urgent and desperate. I could feel her hands push against my chest at first, trying to stop me, but something inside her changed. Her resistance faltered, and soon, she was kissing me back with just as much intensity.
I could taste the liquor on my breath, feel the heat between us growing as the kiss deepened. My hands found their way to her waist, pulling her closer as if I couldn't stand the space between us. Aiesha's fingers tangled in my hair, and before I knew it, the kiss became something more....something I couldn't control.
"Maxine," she gasped between kisses, gusto niyang kumawala pero hindi ko siya hinayaan at mas lalo ko pa siyang nilapit sakin.
I kissed her harder, more passionately, until we were stumbling, moving together toward the hallway. I didn't know where we were going, and I didn't care. I just needed to feel her, to be closer to her.
Somehow, we ended up in her room. The door clicked shut behind us, and I pressed her against it, my hands exploring the soft curve of her waist, her breath hot against my neck.
She was still trying to speak, to say something, but I silenced her with another kiss, deeper this time.
"Maxine... we shouldn't," she managed to say, but her voice was weak, conflicted.
I didn't answer. Instead, I pulled her closer, my lips trailing down her neck as I felt her body respond to mine. Every touch, every kiss felt like fire, igniting something inside me that I couldn't control.
I knew I was drunk, knew I wasn't thinking clearly, but in that moment, none of it mattered. All that mattered was her.
"Please, stop," she whispered, but even as she said it, I could feel her hands pulling me closer, not pushing me away. She was torn, just like I was.
"I don't want to stop," I murmured, my lips brushing against hers again.
Her breath hitched, and for a moment, I thought she might pull away. But instead, she melted into me, her resistance gone. Her kisses became more urgent, her body pressing into mine as if she wanted this just as much as I did.
I kissed her again, harder this time, letting the intensity of my emotions take over.
I could feel her pulse quicken under my fingertips, could hear the soft gasps she made as I kissed her neck, her shoulders, everywhere I could reach. It was intoxicating, overwhelming, and I was losing myself in it.
Aiesha's hands gripped my shoulders, pulling me down onto the bed with her. For a moment, I paused, staring down at her, realizing how far we had gone.
Her eyes were wide, filled with confusion, desire, and something else I couldn't quite place. She looked at me like she was seeing someone she didn't recognize.
"Maxine," she whispered, her voice shaky. "This... we can't..."
But I didn't let her finish. I kissed her again, silencing her words, her doubts. I didn't want to think. I didn't want to face what this meant, what we were doing. All I wanted was her.
For a while, there was nothing but the sound of our breathing, the feel of her skin against mine, the heat of the moment consuming us both. I was lost in her, in the way she made me feel, and I didn't care about the consequences.
I pulled back, my breath ragged, staring down at her. "Aiesha... I'm sorry," I whispered, the weight of what I had done finally hitting me.
She didn't say anything at first. She just stared at me, her chest rising and falling with each breath.
Then, slowly, she reached up and touched my cheek, her fingers trembling slightly.
"It's okay," she said softly, though her voice was filled with uncertainty.
"I don't want to lose you," I whispered, the words spilling out before I could stop them.
"You won't," saad niya at sa tono niya para bang sinisigurado niyang hindi mang yayari ang iniisip ko.
