Izuku trained relentlessly under Crust’s guidance, pushing himself to new limits every day. His time with the No. 6 Pro Hero was invaluable, and Crust’s experience and insight helped Izuku refine not only his combat abilities but also his strategic thinking.
The two trained at various locations—sometimes in the city, sometimes at specific hero training facilities. Each day, Izuku grew stronger and more confident in using One For All at higher percentages, integrating Crust’s teachings with his developing abilities.
Occasionally, Izuku would bring Kyoka along to their training sessions. Though Kyoka wasn’t as interested in becoming a full-time hero, she enjoyed spending time with Izuku, and her skills with her Earphone Jack Quirk provided some valuable insights during sparring.
Kyoka's sharp comments and sarcastic humor were a constant presence during their training, and it was clear to Crust who wore the pants in their relationship.
Crust, {smirking one day after watching them spar}: "Midoriya, you might be strong, but it's pretty obvious who's in charge when your girlfriend's around."
Kyoka grinned from the sidelines, raising an eyebrow as she crossed her arms.
Kyoka, {teasing}: "Damn right. I mean, it's not that hard to boss him around. He's a softie."
Izuku, blushing furiously, could only laugh awkwardly, trying to focus on the task at hand. But Crust knew that Kyoka's influence kept Izuku grounded. She never let him get too full of himself, which was exactly what someone like him needed.
As the months passed, Izuku's progress was undeniable. His mastery of One For All was becoming sharper, and Crust couldn't help but be impressed. What started as raw talent had been honed into a disciplined and tactical fighting style. Izuku was no longer just reacting—he was planning, thinking ahead, and moving with a precision that Crust knew was rare in someone so young.
Seeing Izuku's progress, Crust began to consider something more—something that would truly help push the young hero forward. He had contacts within the Hero Public Safety Commission (HPSC), and after weeks of negotiations and advocating for Izuku, Crust finally managed to convince them to grant Izuku something extraordinary.
It was an honor and a rare privilege, especially for someone who hadn’t officially enrolled in the U.A. yet. With the temporary license, Izuku would be allowed to do real hero work as Crust's sidekick, gaining invaluable experience before even entering the U.A. for his entrance exams.
While other students would be taking their Provisional License Exam later, Izuku was given a chance to prove himself in the field—under the watchful eye of a top pro hero.

One day, after a particularly intense training session, Crust called Izuku over.
Crust, {smiling proudly}: "Midoriya, I've got some news for you."
Izuku wiped the sweat from his brow, catching his breath. He was still coming down from the high of their sparring, but the tone in Crust's voice told him something big was coming.
Izuku, {curious}: "What is it, sir?"
Crust pulled out a small card, one that Izuku immediately recognized—a provisional hero license.
Crust, {grinning}: "The Hero Public Safety Commission approved it. You're getting a temporary Provisional License. That means, starting today, you can work as my sidekick."
Izuku's eyes widened in disbelief. A Provisional License? Already? His heart raced, excitement bubbling up inside him. This was more than he could have ever hoped for.
Izuku, {stammering}: "I-I... I don't know what to say! This is incredible!"
Crust clapped him on the back, his voice full of pride.
Crust, {gruff but pleased}: "You earned this, kid. You've worked hard, and now you'll get to see what it's like to be a real hero—on the front lines. Of course, I'll be with you every step of the way. You're ready for this, Izuku."
Kyoka, standing nearby, watched the exchange with a smile, her eyes gleaming with pride. As usual, she couldn't resist teasing him, though her tone was softer than usual.
Kyoka, {playfully}: "Looks like you're officially a hero now. Just don't get too full of yourself, hero boy."
Izuku laughed, his heart full as he turned to look at her, grateful for her support.
Izuku, {smiling sheepishly}: "I won't, I promise."
The weight of the license in his hands was heavy with responsibility, but also with the promise of the future. Izuku knew that this was only the beginning.
As Crust’s sidekick, he would gain real-world experience, facing villains and protecting civilians—just like the heroes he had always admired. And when the time came for him to take the Pro Heroes exam, he would be ready.
As they left the training grounds that day, the sun setting behind them, Izuku couldn’t help but feel that his dream was finally within reach. With Crust by his side, Kyoka supporting him, and the power of One For All growing stronger every day, he knew he was on the path to becoming the hero he had always dreamed of being.
