Izuku stood in front of the mirror, pulling on the last piece of his hero costume, the familiar fabric fitting snugly against his body. The dark green suit, accented with black, was made from durable materials to withstand the intensity of his Quirk, One For All. His gloves, reinforced to help control the shockwaves from his attacks, slipped easily over his hands as he fastened them securely.

He adjusted his cape, draping it over his shoulders, the fabric feeling light yet resilient. He took a deep breath, flexing his fingers and rotating his shoulders, making sure everything was in place.

He reached for his comms device, attaching it to his ear, and then grabbed his utility belt, fastening it around his waist with ease.

Izuku, {to himself, quietly}: "Alright."

With one last glance in the mirror, he turned toward the door, his mind already focused on the patrol ahead.

Izuku was nothing more than a green blur as he zipped through the streets of Musutafu, his speed leaving the passing cars and pedestrians in awe. The wind rushed against his face, but he barely noticed, his focus locked ahead as he patrolled the city. He could hear the distant calls of admiration from the citizens, their words of praise echoing behind him as he sped by.

Citizen 1, {shouting}: "There goes Oneforce!"

Citizen 2, {pointing excitedly}: "He's amazing!"

Izuku felt a warm surge of pride in his chest. It was nice to be appreciated. The people of Musutafu had started recognizing him more and more lately, and the feeling of becoming a real hero was finally settling in. But as he continued his patrol, his mind drifted, thoughts swirling around his next challenge.

Tomorrow was his first lesson as a teacher's assistant for Heroics 101 with All Might. The idea made his heart race, but not just with excitement—there was nervousness, too. He still remembered the rooftop conversation with All Might, the day he had been told he could never become a hero. The hurtful words replayed in his mind; the sting still fresh despite everything that had happened since then.

Izuku, {thinking to himself}: "I was Quirkless then... and now I have One For All."

The irony wasn't lost on him. He now possessed the very thing All Might had once thought was impossible for him—a Quirk, and not just any Quirk. One For All. The first user, the one Izuku had nicknamed The Founder, had told him the Quirk was almost sentient, in a way. It had chosen him as its ninth—and final—user. There would be no one after him. He was the last in the line, carrying the legacy of eight powerful heroes before him.

That truth weighed on him, and though he had no plans to tell anyone about the full nature of One For All—at least not yet—it still lingered in the back of his mind. Maybe, just maybe, he'd confide in Kyoka. She was the only person who had been by his side through everything, and he trusted her completely. But no one else. Not even All Might.

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as his sharp eyes caught something out of the corner of his vision—a commotion in a nearby alley. His instincts kicked in, and he halted in an instant, his body already turning toward the disturbance.

Izuku, {focused}: "Looks like I've got work to do."

Without missing a beat, he powered up, the familiar green lightning crackling around his legs as he dashed toward the scene. Whatever was happening, he was ready. Hero duty came first, and now it was time to act.

Izuku patrolled the skies above Musutafu, his senses heightened as he scanned the city below. He had grown used to the rhythm of hero work—the constant vigilance, the need to stay alert. But something today felt different. His instincts kicked in sharply as he noticed a disturbance up ahead.

In the distance, he spotted a villain with a Quirk that gave them the ability to fly, and they were hovering nearly 100 feet up, clutching a terrified woman in their arms. The villain's cruel grin could be seen from where Izuku stood, their malicious intent clear. Izuku's heart raced as he assessed the situation. He had to act fast.

Without hesitation, Izuku powered up One For All, the familiar crackle of green lightning wrapping around his legs as he prepared to leap into action. He crouched down, channeling his strength, and then launched himself into the air with an explosive jump, shooting upwards like a rocket.

As he neared the villain and the hostage, Izuku stretched out his arms, reaching for the woman. With precise timing, he caught her just as the villain's grip loosened in shock. The woman gasped, clutching onto Izuku tightly, but he felt something strange. Rather than beginning to descend, as he usually would, Izuku realized that he was... floating.

His eyes widened in surprise, and in that instant, a familiar voice echoed in his mind, filling his thoughts.

Nana Shimura, {calm and reassuring}: "This is my Quirk, Izuku. Float. It allows you to levitate and suspend yourself in mid-air."

Izuku's heart skipped a beat. He had heard about Nana Shimura, the seventh user of One For All, but he hadn't expected her Quirk to manifest so suddenly.

Nana Shimura, {continuing}: "With the added power of the stockpiled energy from One For All, you can do more than just float. You can fly—fast."

Izuku looked down at the woman in his arms and then back at the villain hovering nearby, clearly stunned that Izuku was still in the air. The realization hit him: he could fly. But it wasn't something he was used to. He swallowed hard, trying to focus, but the sensation was strange—like a newborn bird learning to use its wings for the first time. His control was shaky, almost natural... but not quite.

Still, he couldn't afford to hesitate. He floated down slowly and gently, adjusting his movements with a concentration that was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. The ground approached, and with a bit of wobbly maneuvering, he managed to land safely, setting the woman down on her feet.

Izuku, {panting slightly, smiling}: "You're safe now."

The woman nodded shakily, her eyes wide with gratitude and relief. Before she could say anything more, Izuku glanced back up at the villain, who was trying to flee after realizing the tables had turned. But Izuku wasn't about to let them get away.

With renewed focus, he crouched down again and powered up One For All, the green lightning sparking around him. This time, he willed himself into the air—not just a jump, but full flight. The sensation was incredible. His speed increased as he zipped through the sky, the wind rushing past his face.

The villain looked over their shoulder in terror as Izuku quickly closed the distance. With a swift motion, he grabbed the villain by the arm and spun them around, forcing them back toward the ground. His control of Float was still a bit shaky, but it was enough. Within moments, they landed roughly on the street below, and Izuku pinned the villain down, using the cuffs from his utility belt to secure them.

Breathing heavily, Izuku stood up, brushing off the dirt from his hero costume as he caught his breath. The woman had been escorted to safety by a few bystanders, and the villain was securely restrained. But Izuku's mind was still spinning from the experience.

As he stood there, the voice of Nana Shimura echoed again, softer this time, but with a hint of warmth.

Nana Shimura, {playfully}: "Well done, kid. Not bad for your first time flying."

And then, just faintly, as if from the distance, he could swear he heard snickering—multiple voices, the previous users of One For All, amused by his wobbly yet effective first flight.

Izuku, {thinking to himself, flustered but smiling}: "Great... they're laughing at me."

But despite the teasing, Izuku felt a swell of pride. He had unlocked a new part of One For All, and although it wasn't perfect yet, he knew he'd only get better from here. With the villain secured and the crowd watching him in awe, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.
