One by one, Class 1A stepped forward to face the adaptive training robot. Each student, confident in their abilities, approached the battle with different strategies, but no matter what they tried, none lasted more than a minute.
Momo Yaoyorozu used her Creation Quirk, trying to manufacture shields and weapons, but the robot adapted too quickly, breaking through her defenses before she could counter.
Shoto Todoroki attempted to overwhelm it with both ice but the robot dodged and countered with precise, calculated movements, knocking him out of the fight in seconds.
Tenya Iida, with his incredible speed, tried to outmaneuver the machine, but the robot anticipated his movements and struck him down mid-dash.
Denki Kaminari, with his electricity, only managed to overload himself before the robot could even react, and Mineta, despite his best efforts to trap it with his sticky balls, found himself quickly outmatched. Even Rikido Sato's strength was no match for the machine's adaptability.
As each battle ended in defeat, the mood of the class shifted. What had started with excitement and confidence now turned into frustration and doubt.
No one could land more than a few hits before being overwhelmed by the relentless machine. The students gathered in small clusters, murmuring to each other about how difficult the robot was and how no one seemed to stand a chance.
Then, Nezu's cheerful voice cut through the air once more.
Nezu, {smiling}: "Midoriya, it's your turn next."
All eyes turned to Izuku, who had been quietly observing from the sidelines. He nodded, stepping forward with determination in his eyes.
But before he could make his way to the arena, Nezu added something that made the entire class freeze.
Nezu, {cheerfully}: "Oh, to make this Lore interesting t, you won't be allowed to use your Quirk."
The class erupted in murmurs of disbelief. No Quirk? That meant Izuku would be fighting the robot without the incredible strength and speed that they had seen him use time and time again. A few of his classmates exchanged glances, thinking this would be the time Izuku would finally face defeat.
Izuku, however, remained calm. He accepted the challenge with a simple nod, stepping into the arena.
Izuku, {thinking to himself}: 'I've trained without my Quirk before... I can handle this.'
The robot scanned him, its eyes flickering as it began to adapt to its next opponent. Izuku cracked his knuckles, settling into a ready stance. Even without One For All, his body was in peak condition from the rigorous training he'd undergone. He might not have his Quirk, but he wasn't helpless.
Nezu, {grinning}: "Show us what you've got, Midoriya."
The match began, and the robot lunged forward, its metallic limbs moving with calculated strikes. Izuku dodged, weaving to the side with ease. Despite being Quirkless, his movements were fluid and powerful.
The robot swung at him again, but Izuku ducked under its arm and delivered a powerful punch to its torso, sending it skidding back slightly.
The class gasped, stunned at how easily Izuku moved, how strong he still was even without his Quirk.
The robot quickly adapted, charging at him again with even more force. But Izuku anticipated its movements, sidestepping just in time and delivering a roundhouse kick to its side, denting the metal plating.
The robot's eyes glowed brighter as it recalibrated, adjusting to Izuku's fighting style. It lunged again, but this time Izuku was ready. He grabbed one of its arms mid-strike, using the momentum to flip the robot over his shoulder and slam it into the ground.
The ground shook from the impact, and the class stared in awe.
But the robot wasn't done yet. It quickly pushed itself up and charged at Izuku with renewed speed. Izuku dodged once more, but this time, as he spun to avoid a strike, his fist connected with the robot's torso-too hard.
He had been holding back his full strength, but in the heat of the moment, he let go just a little too much.
With a loud crunch, the robot's chest caved in from the force of the punch. Sparks flew, and the robot collapsed in a heap of broken metal, its glowing eyes flickering out as it lay motionless on the ground.
The training field went silent.
Izuku stood there, panting lightly, realizing that he had accidentally destroyed the robot. He quickly turned to Nezu, eyes wide with concern.
Izuku, {worried}: "Principal Nezu! I didn't mean to-"
But Nezu waved him off with a broad smile, looking incredibly pleased.
Nezu, {laughing}: "No need to worry, Midoriya! That was quite a spectacular performance. I'm more proud of you than anything else!"
The class was speechless. Izuku, without his Quirk, had just managed to defeat the same robot that had bested every other student so easily. And not only had he won-he had destroyed the machine.
Kyoka, {grinning}: "Hell yeah!"
But not everyone was impressed.
Bakugo, {scowling, clenching his fists}: "Tch... damn nerd."
Denki crossed his arms, looking both annoyed and surprised.
Denki, {muttering}: "How does he do it without a Quirk..."
Even Mineta was grumbling under his breath, jealousy written all over his face.
As the class began to settle down, the murmurs of admiration and jealousy filled the air. Izuku, still standing in the center of the arena, scratched the back of his head awkwardly, trying to process everything.
Nezu, {clapping his paws together}: "That concludes today's Heroics Class! Reflect where you went wrong and adapt!"
