Gilgamesh was sent flying through the air, spitting blood as he was struck by the unexpected shield bash.
Despite the protection of his golden armor, Gilgamesh suffered no external injuries. However, the internal damage from the blow caused him to bleed profusely.
"Damn you! To think you would dare ambush this King!"
After skidding across the sand, Gilgamesh finally managed to stagger back to his feet.
But he had little time to recover.
Before him, Lancelot, enveloped in black magical energy, charged towards him once more.
Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed with icy fury as he looked at the approaching figure.
"A mad dog and a mongrel working together?"
"How utterly laughable!"
"Today, I shall punish you both!"
Gilgamesh's voice dripped with chilling venom as the golden ripples behind him expanded rapidly, opening one hundred and twenty-eight Gates of Babylon in the blink of an eye.
A cruel smile twisted his lips as he looked at the approaching duo.
"Die!"
One hundred and twenty-eight Noble Phantasms erupted from the Gates, hurtling towards Lancelot and Mika.
"Futile! You cannot penetrate my defenses!" Mika declared confidently, holding his shield aloft.
He felt a surge of gratitude for the shield's creation.
He had commissioned the Hephaestus Familia's blacksmith to forge weapons and, on a whim, had requested a shield as well. It was this shield that now protected him from the onslaught of the Gate of Babylon.
With its protection, Mika was confident in his ability to defeat Gilgamesh.
Like Shirou Emiya, he wouldn't give Gilgamesh the opportunity to unleash Enuma Elish.
"Oh, is that so?"
Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed as he looked at the shield protecting Mika.
In the next instant, a crimson spear pierced through the shield, narrowly missing Mika's face.
"What just happened?!" Mika exclaimed in shock.
"That spear seemed to possess piercing properties, allowing it to penetrate your shield," Gabriel's voice quickly warned him.
"What? Invincible Piercing?!" Mika was stunned by Gabriel's explanation.
"Can the Gate of Babylon even do that?"
"Looks like Golden Boy is getting serious!"
Indeed, Gilgamesh was now fighting in earnest.
He considered being knocked back by Mika an unforgivable humiliation.
He would have his revenge!
Using the crimson spear as a starting point, Gilgamesh unleashed a barrage of Noble Phantasms with armor-piercing, penetrating, and destructive properties, all aimed at Mika's shield.
He loathed the shield stained with his blood.
He would destroy that detestable shield, no matter the cost.
In the blink of an eye, Mika's shield was riddled with holes from Gilgamesh's relentless assault.
"This can't continue."
