Finally, I woke up, but where was I? The eerie silence and blinding whiteness surrounded me, making my head spin. It's not my room, and it's definitely not a hospital. Then where am I? Everything is white, and I don't feel good here. How did I reach here?"Ana, remember what happened," I whispered to myself. And with that, every memory flooded back. Am I dead?
"No, Ana, you are not dead." The familiar voice echoed through the space.
I turned to see who it was, and my heart skipped a beat. "Rayyyyy! Oh my God, Ray! I missed you so much!" I exclaimed, rushing into his warm embrace.
"Ray, how are you? And why did you leave me with those strangers?" I asked, tears streaming down my face.
"I'm fine, Ana. And Ana, I have to leave. It was my time to go," Ray explained, his voice tinged with sadness.
"I want my big brother with me. Why did you leave me, Ray?" I pleaded.
Ray's expression softened. "Those are not strangers, Ana; they're my brothers, my family. They'll protect you."
"But what the hell did you do?" Ray's voice held a mix of concern and disappointment.
"Ray, I am sorry. I can't live without you," I sobbed.
"I know, Ana, it's hard. But Max and Leo were there for you. You have no idea what I felt when I saw you doing that. You're my strong sister, Ana. I'm very disappointed in you," Ray said.
"Ray, you saw me?" I asked.
"Of course, I was seeing everything, Ana. I saw how Max and Leo were trying to help you, but you didn't let them," Ray replied.
"I am sorry, Ray. But am I dead... for real?" I asked.
"No, Ana, you are not dead," Ray reassured.
"Then what place is this?" I asked.
"This is somewhere in between, Ana. But I want you to go back. Go back to your life and live it. Max and Leo will help you. Trust me, Ana; they mean good," Ray said.
"But I don't want to leave you, Ray," I protested.
"Ana, I am gone... like really gone. But you are going back, Ana, for me. Go back to Ana," Ray encouraged.
"But Ray, what about you?" I asked nervously.
"I will always be there for you, Ana. You just need to find me, Ana. Whenever you need me, just close your eyes, Ana, and I will be there," Ray promised.
"If you want me to go, I will. But Ray, promise me you will come to my help whenever I need you," I pleaded.
I will always remember you, Ray.. you are grumpy, brother. I love you, Ray.. I love you.." I said, now crying ..
Ray chuckled on his grumpy name.. "And you will be my sister Ana always.. you were my sister in that world, and you are in this.."
"I will, Ana. I will. Now go, Ana. Go and live your life," Ray urged.
"I love you, Ray, and I will miss you," I whispered.
"I love you too, my little sis... and I miss you already," Ray replied.
"Wait, Ray, but how will I go back?" I asked.
"Just close your eyes, Ana. I'll keep in mind where you want to open them. Try Ana, try hard. Max and Leo are waiting for you."
With Ray's words echoing in my mind, I closed my eyes, feeling the warmth of his presence fade away.
As Ray disappeared into the distance, the realm's glow faded.
I opened my eyes to find myself in my own room, surrounded by familiar walls and comforting memories. Sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow.
But wait... was it all just a dream? I sat up, rubbing my eyes.
No, it felt too real.
I swung my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the soft carpet beneath my feet.
"Ray?" I whispered, hoping against hope.
Only silence replied.
I stood up, surveying my room. Everything seemed normal - my bed, desk, and bookshelf. Yet, something felt off. Tears welled up in my eyes. It wasn't just a dream.
As I tried to stand, weakness overwhelmed me. That's when I saw Max and Leo lying on each other on my couch, their faces serene.
I lay back down, thoughts swirling. It was real. Ray's presence, his words... How?
Coughing fits seized me, and Max and Leo jolted awake, confusion giving way to concern.
Max rushed to my side, handing me a glass of water. "Ana, drink this."
Leo sat beside him, eyes filled with worry.
I felt embarrassed, ashamed, and weak. "Emm, Max, Leo... I'm sorry. I know what I did was wrong. I'm sorry."
Tears flowed again, and I buried my face in my hands.
"Ana, it's okay. We understand what you're going through," Leo said, fear and guilt etched on his face. "You scared the hell out of us. First Ray, and now you... We were so scared."
Max's voice trembled. "Ana, I'm sorry for what I said. I mean, I didn't say anything wrong, but still, I'm sorry because I hurt you. Trust me, Ana, we mean good. It's good for you to come with us."
I reassured them, "It's not your fault. Please don't blame yourselves. It was my fault. I shouldn't have done that."
Max's expression softened. "Okay, Ana, rest now. We'll talk later, okay? We'll be downstairs. Call us if you need anything."
They left, and I sank into thought.
Maybe I should trust them, as Ray said. They aren't bad.
"Max, Leo!" I called out, resolve forming.
As I called out to Max and Leo, they re-entered my room, concern etched on their faces.
"Ana, what is it?" Max asked.
"I've decided to trust you," I said, determination in my voice. "Ray said I'm safe with you. I'll go with you."
Leo's expression softened. "Thank God, Ana. We'll take care of you."
Max nodded. "We'll help you through this. Together."
With their words, a weight lifted off my shoulders. Maybe, just maybe, I could find solace in their company.
As they helped me up, I knew this was the beginning of a new journey - one of healing, trust, and discovery.
