4 days later

Tomorrow is my first day of new school.. this was Ray's dream school for me... I didn't want to leave my previous school, but Ray asked me to join this one, so I accepted.. after he passed away, I forgot about my education.. until Max came to my room and informed me about my acceptance in this school.. i was happy, but I missed Ray. After all, this was his dream..

So yeah, tomorrow is the day when I will start my new journey.. I am excited but more of nervous..I never had real friends..so I don't miss anyone from old school but I am looking forward to make new friends in this school..I hope I don't get bullied here...
But now, keeping all these thoughts aside, I packed my bag and got ready for my bed..

Next day

First day of school.. yay( note the sarcasm).. I woke up at 5:00 in the morning, took a shower, and got ready for the school.. it was 6:30 currently, so I headed for breakfast.my school starts at 7:30.

As I walked into the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pancakes enveloped me, but my heart felt heavy. Today was the day - my first day at Ray's dream school.

Emily and Lilly exchanged concerned glances, noticing my trembling hands.

"Hey, Ana, you okay?" Emily asked softly.

I nodded, forcing a smile.

"Just nerves, I guess."

Lilly hugged me tightly.

"We're here for you, girl."

Max and Leo entered the kitchen, their faces etched with understanding.

"Today's a big day," Max said gently. "But you're ready."

Leo placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"Ray would want you to shine, kiddo."

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.

"I miss him so much," I whispered.

Emily's eyes welled up.

"We all do, Ana."

Lilly handed me a tissue.

"Here, honey."

I dabbed at my tears.

"Sorry, guys. I'm just... emotional."

Max's expression softened.

"You're allowed to be, Ana. It's okay."

Leo squeezed my shoulder.

"We're your family now. We've got you."

As we sat down to eat, Emily reached out.

"We're all in this together, Ana."

Lilly nodded.

"You're not alone."

The warmth and love surrounding me filled my heart.

For the first time since Ray's passing, I felt a glimmer of hope.

Maybe, just maybe, I could make it through this.

As we finished breakfast, Max stood up.

"Time to go, kiddo."

I took a deep breath.

"Okay."

Leo handed me a small gift box.

"For good luck."

Inside, the silver star pendant sparkled.

"Ray's shining star," I whispered, tears streaming down.
