"Why can't you accept that
every girl you befriend wants
to shag you?"xxi. jealous girl
6,132 words."WHY DO ALL OF HIS FRIENDS HAVE A THING FOR HIM?" Deleine huffed, flinging her wand onto her bed with a dramatic flair. The Hufflepuff dorm room, cozy and adorned with the warm hues of golden wood, bore witness to her mini-tantrum. Indigo grinned quietly, while Cassia glanced up from her book, bemused by Deleine's display. They had gotten to the castle just a few hours ago and she couldn't even unnotice the constant weird behavior.
"Sweetheart," Cassia called, her tone teasing yet gentle.
"What?" Deleine retorted, her voice dripping with annoyance.
"You're dating George Weasley," Cassia replied, a smirk tugging at her lips. Indigo stifled a laugh, fully aware of the sarcasm lacing the conversation. Deleine shot Cassia a pointed look, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"But honestly," Cassia continued, leaning back against her pillows, "any girl would be mad to pass up the Weasleys. Well, perhaps not Ron... or Percy..." She lowered her voice conspiratorially. "But! Bill and Charlie were absolute heartthrobs during their school days."
"Of course they were," Indigo chimed in, glancing at Cassia with an amused grin. "Just look at them!"
"I've heard all about it," Deleine sighed, her exasperation softening as she fell back onto her bed, staring up at the ceiling. The room around them felt warm and inviting, with soft light filtering through the window, illuminating the scattered Quidditch magazines and abandoned sweets from the last feast.
The chatter from the common room below was a distant murmur, a reminder of the vibrant life outside their little bubble.
"I mean it's absolutely ridiculous!" Deleine exclaimed, her gaze fixed on the ceiling as if it held all the answers. "They only befriend him to get with him, as if I'm not right there!"
"Do you honestly reckon Saya has a thing for him?" Cassia asked, raising an eyebrow. She couldn't quite wrap her head around it.
"You're mates with her, so you must see it," Indigo chimed in, her tone teasing. "It's like Phenix all over again! Though Phenix was a tad more subtle. I wouldn't stand right in front of her and her bloke, flirting like it's nothing." She sighed dramatically, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
"You lot are probably exaggerating," Cassia replied, flipping a page in her book. "I didn't see anything! Besides, George would suffocate and shrivel up without Deleine." She paused, her gaze flickering. "And I reckon Fred and Lee have been giving her some serious attention." As Lee's name slipped from her lips, she tightened her grip on her book, a slight blush creeping across her cheeks.
