I wake up to the sound of my father frantically shouting my name in my ear. What the fuck is going on. My head hurts and it's pounding as loud as the shouting at my ear.

Then I remember trying to sit up in a panic. "Move slow." My dad says,"Honey what in the hell happened? Why is your mom still unconscious?"

It takes me a minute to recover but I just play dumb. I have no fucking clue what to tell my dad. I need my mom to wake up and cover our asses.

"Mom wake up," I say and I shake her hard.

"Honey!" Dad shouts at me in disbelief.

"She is fine." I say back barely looking at him trying to wake mom. Wake the fuck up mom. Her eyes fly open and they lock on mine. Quinn she starts to say and I cut her off.

"Mom dad is here wanting to know what happened." She understands what I mean immediately and I see the brain fog she is pushing through right now.

I'm still foggy and swaying from the aftermath of that drug Cian used on me myself.

I need to get my mom alone and it looks like she is thinking the same thing. "I am fine honey." She says to my dad as he fuses over her. "What the hell happened?" My dad demands more firmly now.

Mom's lie is good. How the hell did she come up with that? She said that it was the paint fumes that made us pass out that we were just using in the garage.

"Quinn isn't dressed for painting." He observes.

"Right she was just keeping me company," my mom lies.

"Okay I am just glad you guys are okay. You are right?"

"Sure honey we are fine." My mom says reassuringly. My dad finally leaves us to start dinner. He just got everything for chicken pot pie. Despite everything that sounds amazing right now.

"Come with me. We clearly need to talk. I can tell that you know about your parents." My mom says. She leads me outside to her 'she shed' attached to the inside of their garage.

"Dad doesn't know anything about this and I would like for it to stay that way." She says silently before she closes the door and turns to face me. I don't wait for her to say anything.

"How could you not tell me?" I almost scream.

"Shhh I know you are pissed but please hear me out."

"I'm listening." I say but my patience is dwindling.

"I didn't want you to have that life. It was dangerous. Honey I know it seems like it will make you feel alive and the rush is worth it but once in you're in. You can't just get out later when you change your mind and want to settle down. There is no settling down. Something will always come up. Trust me, I know. I know there is really not an excuse that will matter to you but know I did it for you and for our family. To keep everyone safe."

"I guess I can sort of understand that." I say calmly.

"Who was that man honey?" Are you okay?" She asks panic, returning to her features.

"That is Cian O'Shea and he has been stalking me for who knows how long." I say flatly.

"Holy shit." My mom says, staring at me in horror. "We need to go to the police."

"No we can't he said he would kill Rory and had threatened Rory's parents. Who knows what he would do."

"Well what is our other option?" She asks me worriedly.

"You're right we need to make the call this is out of our hands."

"I have an old FBI contact that I will call and tell her what is happening. She can send the FBI the intel and we will all go into protective custody. You will most likely lose your job. I am so sorry honey."

"Sarah, yes we have a problem. Do you remember that story I told you in Mexico? Well Cian O'Shea has found out about my daughter and is coming for her. Please, I need you to call in a favor at the FBI. We have to get into protective custody now."

"O'Shea is after your daughter?" Sarah asks into the phone. "My god." She mutters."
