Alarms were blaring throughout the facility. Munin, along with all remaining personnel on sight, were waiting outside the door, each of them wearing an acrylic mask that covered their face. Each one was a smooth silver, except for Munin, who was wearing his usual one, a black mask with no facial features and a single crimson triangle in the center of the face. The amount of vanity and over engineering that went into making this mask was ridiculous, and probably took a good 2 months off of his life from pure caffeine consumption alone.
"Bravo 2-1, target is moving down corridor A4. Be ready!" Reported one of the mercs they had hired. "Wait, she's-" A gunshot rang out, and the radio cut out. Automatic gunfire erupted from the other end of the hallway, but were quickly cut short by two pistol shots. Munin turned to the others, silently ordering them to get ready. The mercs all flipped off the safeties of their firearms, ranging from older Federation models from like 80 years ago that fired the old 7.62mm cartridge, to stolen Caerulean 5.56mm rifles, to even some newer exported Federation models. All of which were semi-auto. What an overstep. At that moment, the doors opened, and a certain pesky Caerulean agent ran out, freezing as she saw the armed men waiting for her. In her left hand a suitcase, in her right, a silver pistol. Caerulean design. Typical. The mercs all pointed their rifles at her and Munin smirked thinly behind his mask. One of the mercs stepped forward, grabbing the handle of the suitcase as the others surrounded her. Munin stood back, watching quietly. This one was dangerous. But after a bit of resistance, she let go. He sighed, before turning around and flinching back as he stared down the barrel of a pistol. The woman took off her mask, smiling at him. The mercs, sensing something was off, turned around to support their employer. Another caerulean agent. Damnit. She swept his leg, sending him to the side, smashing her pistol into the side of his face, but thankfully for his skull, his mask stopped most of the blow.
And then all hell broke loose. The mercs, scared of shooting each other, decided to use their guns as melee weapons. And of course, they were in no way, shape, or form to engage a full on Caerulean agent in hand-to-hand combat. Munin stood up, rubbing his jaw, and it was at this moment he heard a car pull into the tunnel. A golden SUV. Totally inconspicuous.
How the hell did that thing even get past the guards!?
Another agent hopped out, firing her SMG into the mercs. They returned fire, and the first agent rolled over to the case, taking advantage of the disorder, throwing it to the ones in the car. Munin saw half the mercs scramble to grab it from the agent, but it was a bit late for that. If he hadn't gotten backhanded with a pistol earlier, it would've been funny.
"Follow them!" He ordered as the car sped off, three or four mercs following after, shooting.
"Command! Helicopter!" Called one of the Mercs in the control room. Munin cursed. He should've forced logistics to send him at least a single AA gun, but no. The Caeruleans would never dare to attack this facility. Well, to hell with that. Munin pulled up the security camera just in time to see the first Agent literally getting pulled from the facility while shooting mercs like it was some staged action music video.
"Munin!" Called one of the mercs, finally showing up. "Get in!" Munin jumped into the jeep, loading a magazine into his rifle.
"Go. Go! Follow that damn car!" he yelled, switching the mask's display to show the tracker of the case in the top left corner. They caught up pretty quickly, and the mercs in the car opened fire. They weaved between traffic, as Munin hurriedly relayed the situation to High Command. The agents in the car leaned out the windows, returning fire back, the tracers wheezing by their heads, but all missing. After a moment, they retreated back inside the car. As they entered a tunnel, the support Munin had called for finally got there, two of the elite mercs on motorcycles. The driver of the Caerulean car was good, and his own driver struggled to keep up. As they brought their firefight to the city's downtown, the Caerulean car made a sharp right turn, literally Tokyo drifting around the corner, much to Munin's surprise. One of the elites couldn't keep up, his bike losing traction during the turn and sliding away from him, sending the merc into the ground as the bike smashed into a streetlight, splintering.
