Munin yawned, trying to rub the sleep from his eyes. Pale sunlight peeked through the blinds of his very much darkened room. He looked at his clock, doing a double take as he saw the time.

"Holy sh*t" He cursed, jumping out of bed, and began hurriedly getting himself ready for the day that was already like basically half over. "Overslept again." He muttered after pulling on his suit. He could faintly hear talking from the first floor of the penthouse, probably just Hugin and the others playing chess again, he told himself. As he went down the stairs, he narrowed his eyes, trying to understand why it was so damn bright in the living room. There was a distinct presence of fancy decorations and copious amounts of glitter from said decorations sitting on the floor. There was also a distinct lack of the curtains he had specifically installed just so he wouldn't have to deal with this exact situation.

"Look who's finally up." Someone said dryly. Munin looked over at the speaker, his eyes widening slightly. Emma chuckled, tossing Munin a chocolate. "What's wrong, sleepyhead? Surprised to see me?" Munin just stared at her, then at Hugin, and then Eclipse, Genesis, Moonlight and Exodus. Hugin noticed the confusion spread across her brother's face, and she chuckled, handing him a mug of something.

"Oh please, bro," She said, giggling. "Have you been so busy with your little pet projects that you've forgotten what day it is?" Munin looked at her confused, raising the mug of what he thought was coffee to his lips, taking a sip, before almost choking on how sweet the liquid was.

"The f*ck is this...?" He muttered. His sister groaned, poking his skull with his finger.

"Are you so dense that you have forgotten what hot chocolate was?" Munin looked at her, then back at the liquid, then at the decorations.

"O-oh. It's that one holiday." Munin said.

"Christmas. It's called christmas." Emma said, looking up from her phone. "Come on, Munin, you can't possibly be this isolated and forgetful~" She teased, smiling. Munin sighed, rubbing his eyes.

"Right. Christmas. Gifts. Which I didn't buy." He deadpanned. "Wonderful." Exodus chuckled.

"Yeah, Hugin and I thought of that." He said, nodding at the boxes under the tree, strung full of lights. "We took the... liberty... of using your credit card to buy a few things in place of you." Munin gave him a deadpan look.

"You bought gold bars again, didn't you?" He asked, making Exodus pale, and suddenly making the cards in the latter's hand look a lot more interesting.

"No comment." Exodus said. Munin looked at Hugin, who looked away, whistling innocently.

"We'll discuss this later." Munin muttered, sitting down.

"Oh. By the way." Genesis added, coming back in from the balcony. "We took some time to find a gift for... y'know. Someone special." He said, subtly nodding at Emma. Munin shot him a glare, checking if Emma had picked up on Genesis's comment. She hadn't.

"Munin, c'mere." Emma said, making Munin glance over.

"What... is it?" He muttered, walking over.

"Your sister's being meaaaannnn," Emma whined. Munin sighed, looking at the half played chess game.

"No, you just suck at chess." He said. "Scoot. Lemme sit." He said, nudging Emma over a bit.

"Hey, why aren't you helping me?" Hugin asked, pouting.

"Because only one of you is 200 elo, and it's definitely not you." Munin said, picking up a knight and moving it.

"Oh, f*ck off." Emma muttered. "I might not give you a gift."

"So mean." Munin sighed. "Horrible." Hugin chuckled, moving her bishop to pin Munin's queen. "I give up, Emma straight up rigged the game against me."

"We're on the same team!"

"Exactly!" Munin muttered.
"Alright, stop it you three." Genesis said, chuckling. "It's christmas. Keep yourselves away from each other's throats for one day." Munin sighed/

"Fine." "Good. Now come here and replace Exodus. This mf is rigging the deck."

Merry Christmas (or other holiday(s))!
