Part 2
Beam's POV
As I was beginning to regain full consciousness, I felt the vehicle stop. It was then followed by a gentle hand caressing my cheek.
"Bee, you awake? We're here na..." Forth whispered. Surprisingly, the ride towards this place was comfortably silent. Hence, all I did is sleep the whole time. I wonder if these engineering guys are reserving their energy for later.
I straightened my posture while slowly observing the surroundings. Looking outside the van's window, I can already see why they chose this place. It's not crowded yet it still looks so alive.
Forth led me down the vehicle as I waited to help unload our things. I saw P'Park and P'Lam from a distance in a modernized hut kinda building. Maybe, it is the reception area.
P'Lam has Kitten in his arms. I still find it funny when the guys, some of Forth's juniors, fought over who gets to cradle Kitten on the way here.
"Hand me my bag, Phi..." I asked Forth yet but he only weirdly stared at me.
"What's with the stare?" He shook his head, lightly before handing me the lightest bag we have brought.
"But---"
"Ai'Forth!" I heard P'Lam yelled from where he was. This guy just casually pulled me closer as we walked towards the others.
What I said earlier was right, these rowdy guys were just preparing for the arrival. Ever since we got off the van the bickering did not stop. I felt like my energy is draining just by being around them.
"The villa is ready." P'Park informed us while he handed us a spare key.
A staff is leading us to the villa. We followed him. I was in awe as our tracks are along the shore. The sea shimmers against the sun's beam. It looks really inviting.
I felt a hand snaked around my waist making me look at my side. Of course, it's my person.
"Do you like it?" He asked, sporting a proud smile on his face.
Who am I to lie?
"I love it! Thank you na!" I know I'll probably get teased but I did anyway. I gave Forth a kiss on the cheek as I expressed my gratitude. That earned a series of whistles and silly comments.
The place looks cozy. Everything screams home away from home kind of vibe.
"Phi! We'll take the room here!" Marc, a sophomore, informed upon checking the first room here at the ground floor.
Forth and his group brought three of their closest Nongs in the university since Kit and Mingkwan can't come. There is Marc, Vee, and Gun. Meeting them earlier, I can already tell why they're close to these dorks. Not they're like them, it's just they are really social and kind.
"Let's settle and rest first. Then, we'll have lunch together, later." Forth announced and every seemed to have the same sentiments.
"Come on, Bee. Our room is upstairs. Let's get you rested---"
"Forthy, have you forgotten that I slept the whole time during our travel?" He just chuckled.
"You can just cuddle me to sleep then." This guy really never ran out of comebacks.
We reached our room and it was beautiful. The bed looks comfy and inviting. I plopped myself down, with my feet dangling on the floor.
"Hey! What happened to 'I slept the whole time'?" Forth teasingly asked. He placed the bags on the side before making his way to me.
"I'm just checking the bed!" I rolled my eyes heavenward when suddenly
Forth dropped himself on top of me. My face probably resemble a tomato now.
"The bed is really comfy..." He said closing his eyes. Our legs are overlapping each other.
"But you're on top of me..." I countered. This big puppy is heavy.
"Same thing, Bee..." He whispered, groggily before snuggling his face on my neck. I can feel his warm breath against my skin. My heartbeat took a leap when I felt him dropping gentle kisses on there.
"And I thought you were going to sleep?" I asked. He just lifted himself and slyly grinned at me. I tapped his shoulders.
"Go freshen up, Phi. I'll check on Kitten downstairs..."
"Freshen up with me na?" He playfully asked.
"Phi!" I exclaimed pushing him away. I know he was just teasing me. I can hear him lightly laughing.
