Everyone in the Jaturaphoom mansion is busy preparing everything for their guest. The heads of the house made sure that everything is set, perfectly. Guest rooms were cleaned and not a spec of dust can be seen on sight or even felt when furnitures are touch. The arrival of the head of Vongviphan Group of Companies sent them into hectic errands.
It was already dusk when a luxurious car entered the gates with 2 other cars following behind. A man in a suit came out of the passenger seat, went to open the backseat door where the most awaited guest settles.
The main door opened, as the house staff ushered Mr. Vongviphan to the living room where Mr. and Mrs. Jaturaphoom awaits.
"Welcome back, Uncle." Marla greeted with a peck on the cheek and a tight hug while Darvid tapped the shoulder of the guest.
The old man looked around as if he was searching for something or not someone.
"I already told Forth, you're coming. His on his way with little one." Mr. Jaturaphoom informing the older.
"I see, how's my grandson doing?" He inquired.
"Well, he's fine though he can't remember anything. You don't have anything to worry about. Forth is taking care of him." Marla answered, giggling. Making the old Vongviphan confused.
They waited for the two males at the dining hall talking about everything. The helpers were preparing the dishes and delicacies. They knew better than listening to the conversation between the three.
"Do Beam stay here?" The old man asked again. He can't really surpress the excitement he is feeling. Seeing his grandson after a very long time is quite too much for him.
"At first he stayed here, but we decided to let him live with Forth as he'll go to the university with him and he is more comfortable living with our son." Darvid filled Mr. Vongviphan's curiousity. The older man nodded in acknowledgement.
A house staff entered the hall, informing the elders that the younger men are had arrived.
The two walked, hand in hand with Kitten on Beam's other arms. Mr. Vongviphan can't stop himself from tearing seeing how much of difference he saw in his grandson since the last time he saw him. Forth took Kitten from Beam and handed the fluff ball to one of the helpers. The old man stood up and stopped in right in front of Beam making the latter glance at Forth who nodded to encourage him.
"My Beamie..." The old man said sniffling. He lifted his wrinkled hand at the level of Beam's face but hesitated to touch his cheeks, his hands were trembling.
Beam didn't know what to do at the moment. He wanted to comfort his grandfather but the only idea he had was to hug him so, he did.
"I'm sorry..." Beam whispered, he was sorry for not remembering a piece of memory of the only person left from his family.
"No, don't say that. If someone should ask for forgiveness, it's me, I didn't protect you enough..." Beam felt his eyes sting as his tears fall down his face.
The Jaturaphooms watched the scene, feeling the emotions that radiates from the two. Marla who can't stand the hurt she's seeing, approached them.
Right at the very moment, Beam felt everything seems to be perfect. He finally had someone to love him, to be his family.
Mr. Vongviphan let go of Beam, wiping his teary cheeks. He smiled at his grandson.
"Let's eat na, Pops haven't eaten anything since earlier..." He told Beam who followed him to the long table.
Mr. Vongviphan sat on one end while Mr. and Mrs. Jaturaphoom sat on the left side facing Beam and Forth on the other.
When Beam settled down, he felt a hand reached for his. His head turned to Forth who lifted his hand to hold the young by his chin as his other wipes the tear stained cheeks. The older group can't help but gape at the sight, with Marla stifling his giggles. Beam felt his face, heated, he bet he was already tomato red.
"P',..." Beam called his P's attention whiy was returned by a hum. "They're looking at us..." He whispered making Forth divert his eyes from Beam, to his parents then to Mr. Vongviphan.
"Do I need to know something?" The old man inquired in a very serious tone.
Forth was about to retort when Beam beat him.
"I like P' Forth..." Beam stated looking down at his fingers.
Forth can't help but smile at Beam's honesty. He knew better.
