BEAM'S POV
I heard the sound of the curtain rings against the railings holding it as the stray sun rays made their way to my skin. I slowly opened my eyes and what a lovely first sight of the day, my room's plain looking ceiling. P'Luke was about to retire from my room when my phone started ringing.
"Answer it, Kiddo. It's been going off since earlier." I lazily nodded as I reached for it on the bed side table.
"Make it quick and join me for breakfast." With P'Luke went out.
I picked up my phone and saw 13 missed calls if combined from both Mae and Por. Rubbing my eyes, I dialed back to Mae's contact number to which she answered, instantly.
"He-hello, Mae..."
"Beamie, did I wake you up?" Make asked as soon as she answered the call.
"Uhm, no Mae, I've been up for a while now." I answered. They are unaware that I'm not with P'Forth. I'm super sure that P' will be in great trouble if they knew. I have to lie and everyone says I'm not so good at it but I'll try.
I heard her sigh on the other line. "I was worried about you two. Anyways, how are you two doing..."
"W-were fine, Mae.." I answered, still not sure if I'm doing the right thing.
"Forth knows what to do. He'll be with you today as scheduled. Take care, sweetie..." She said and before I could even answer the call was already ended.
Standing up, I looked back at the bed and started organizing it before making my way to comfort room to freshen up a bit. But then I decided to take a quick shower so I would be ready to leave after breakfast. Gosh, that sounded so shameless.
I went inside the kitchen and found Luke waiting, tapping on his phone, smiling like a lovesick fool. I guess P'Joss is on his way to work, already.
"Morning, P'." I greeted to get his attention.
"Well, to you too." He answered, still wearing his eyesmile.
I move toward the counter, settling a high stool before grabbing some bacon and fried rice.
"As I see, you're off to somewhere..." He trailed staring at me.
He caught me off guard. I wasn't sure but I know he knew something.
"Joss told me and I don't want to pry but your P' is right. Talk to your P'Forth..." I nodded shyly as I'm a little bit guilty for making them worried.
"I going back to our flat..." I said finishing my meal. Standing up, I saw P'Luke followed and grab his bike keys beside the telephone.
After putting the plates on the lavatory, I followed P'Luke outside.
"Let me drive you, there..." He offered.
I didn't bother arguing because I know I'll never win. This guy is my mentor when it comes to stubbornness.
Arriving at the front of our building complex, I took off the helmet and handed it to P'Luke. I thanked him to which he answered.
"Anytime, kiddo. Let us know if he'll kick you out." He teased before sprinting back to his ride.
I breath deeply before proceeding on my way to the stairs.
I tried calling P'Forth to open the door but just like what Mae told he wasn't answering. I repeated doing the same thing for like nth time but to no avail. Then, I started knocking.
"Forth! Open the door..."
"P', please open the---" I stopped startled when the door opened revealing a messy looking P'Lam.
"Oh, sorry..." The only thing I was able to utter. He opened the door wider so I could get in.
"Did I wake you up, P'?" I asked.
"It's okay..." He told me while fixing his hair in front of the mirror.
I left him there and when straight in the bedroom. The door was slightly open. What happened inside while I was gone is something I can't think of.
One word to describe, chaos.
The blanket and pillows are messed up on the floor, even the bolsters placed on the headboard. Empty beer cans and packet of unhealthy junk foods are everywhere. P'Forth is slumped on the bed, well partly, his legs are hanging low still touching the floor.
Unconciously, I scrunched my nose at smell of alcohol.
I move towards P'Forth. His face showed how stressed out he was. Guilt started building up in my gut. I leaned down slightly to be leveled with him. Only to be welcomed by a not so good odor of alcohol and puke combined.
"He was so down, last night. We didn't know why. Not until, he started mumbling things and calling your name in his drunkenness..." I heard the voice from behind and when I looked back I saw Park leaning on the door frame, his arms crossed over his torso.
I diverted my gaze back to P'Forth.
"I'm not saying this to make you feel guilty because but really don't know what happened but as his friend, it hurts seeing him liked that. We are leaving. So, talk to him." I nodded.
"Thank you, P'..." It's the only utterance I could puzzle.
I heard the front door closing. Sighing, I started picking up the mess but in a very silent manner. I'm afraid of waking P'Forth but I doubt that he will because he is still in his deep slumber.
Subsequently, I decided to wake him up after cooking him a soup and preparing meds for his hangover.
"P'Forth, wake up..."
"..."
"P'! Woohoo!!"
"..."
I was already shouting nonsense at the top of my lungs but to no avail. A light bulb appeared and I was running my way to the kitchen.
