Rosie Lesley's View;
It was now Sunday. The last day I have been spending my time cleaning and studying for our last exam. Everything was somewhat peaceful until mother opened my bedroom door.
"Rosalie it's time to get ready." My mother told me from my bedroom door.
"For what?" I sighed, I was about to finish an algebraic equation.
"You're going to church with the Grier family. Like you do every Sunday." Mother informed me.
"I don't want to go today!" I snapped, attempting to finish the equation completely.
"Rosie, come on. You love going to see the elder. Please do it today, you don't even have to go on the Sunday school camp trip next week. Please, rose, do it for me." Mother begged, finally convinced me.
"Fine, I'll go." I moaned out, shutting my textbook.
"I got you a little something in the bag, be ready in ten minutes." Mom said, leaving and I looked in the yellow gift bag.
It was a flower patterned dress, it was gorgeous. I pulled it on quickly after my shower, got ready, and headed towards the living room.
My mother was sitting on the porch waiting for me. "You aren't ready? Why not!" I growled.
"Im a little tired, i think im gonna stay in for the day." Mother told me, and a black Honda drove into our driveway. "I'll walk you down love." Mom walked me to the car and the passenger seat window rolled down.
"Hey Rosie!" A silly Hayes giggled.
I gave a small wave.
"Hello Haley! How are you?" Liz Grier smiled kindly.
"Hello Elizabeth, I'm good and you?" Mom asked.
"I'm well. So is it okay if Rosie comes over for lunch and maybe go in the pool? It's gonna be a hot one today." Elizabeth replied.
"Of course, she just has to be home by five." Mother tried to work something out, as I sat in the back seat, where Skylynn was listening to Justin Bieber on her IPad mini.
"Hey." I whispered, smiling.
After a few minutes of Elizabeth and my mom talking, we drove off.
"Hey Rosie, how've you been? I heard you're going to be attending the camping trip next week. I'm actually going to be chaperoning for Skylynn's group. Hayes is going with his group of buddies, and Will won't be coming. He's gonna be in Cleveland for his game Friday night. He did say he would try to stop by Saturday afternoon before we leave." Elizabeth kept rambling on.
"Mom don't you ever stop talking?" I heard Hayes snap out.
"You know?- what did you say to me Benjamin Hayes? I may talk whenever I please to. You're getting a ride to church after all. I could have made you walk at 8:30, and you would've met us there. I don't like the attitude you've been showing lately. You're taking after your father!" Elizabeth stopped talking and got silent for a minute.
