Rosie Lesley's View;
By next week things were back to normal. Hayes was in classes goofing around like normal. I was studying my ass of, for no damn reason. Except I wanted good grades. Good grades was the key to success.
Gabby was sitting next to me, texting away. Probably to Daniel, he was in Tech Ed this period. We were in Consumer Science. I especially hated classes like this. All you did was sit at tables, learning about bacteria and how to improve your 'cooking skills.' I liked classes where we could go to our cooking stations and create a delicious plate of richness.
Unfortunately, we couldn't do that today. After about ten more minutes of talking about bacteria, the bell rung. Everyone stood up in unison and exited the room.
"Any plans tonight?" Gabby asked, as we headed downstairs to our lockers.
"Not at the moment, I might stop by Liz's house just to check up on her. Why what did you have in mind?" I inquired my bestfriend, assuming she had an idea.
"A new Burger N Go opened up downtown, maybe we could go together. Hayes can go too if you want." Gabby answered, as I put in my locker combo.
"Not a bad idea," I commented and swung open my locker door. "I guess we can, I'll send a text to Aunt June."
I put all my textbooks in my locker, and soon enough a pair of arms wrapped around my waist.
"Hi Rosie!" A flirtious Hayes giggled in my ear.
"Hello Hayes." I grinned, turning my body around to give Hayes a passionate kiss.
Of course the moment didn't last too long, Carter eventually crept his way into our personal space and pushed Hayes out of my grasp. Seconds later Hayes was on the ground. Boys such as James, Daniel and Aaron were holding Hayes on the ground. The true danger came towards me.
Carter pushed my body against the lockers, and started trailing his fingers all over my body. Burning tears ran down my face. I tried to fight his touch, but he was far too strong for me.
"Break it up!" Mrs.Ryan yelled, pulling Carter off me, while another teacher pulled the boys off Hayes.
I was now grasping for air, my vision continued to be blurry from all of my tears, and my body was trembling uncontrollably.
Mrs.Ryan seemed indecisive, she wanted to figure out what happened , and at the same time, she wanted to calm me down. I could tell from the look in her eyes.
Gabby soon pulled me into the other room. My vision got clearer, but it was getting harder to breathe.
"Rosie, breathe with me. 1,2,3,4..." Gabby instructed me to calm down.
-
All the boys involved, Gabby, Mrs.Ryan, and myself were in the office. When the principal arrived to take Hayes and Carter, the other boys were sent out on warning.
"I guess we're not going to Burger N Go." I blurted out, then slapped my mouth shut.
Gabby gave me a long cold stare then bursted into a fit of giggles. Humor was needed in this situation. It lightened the mood.
After more than ten minutes of sitting in silence, the principal came out, "Rosalie, in my office. Gabby you can leave now." Mr.Sailsberry was a chill guy, especially towards Gabby.
I slowly made my way too his office, my heart beat was pumping 100mph. My point is my heart was pumping from my anxious emotions.
Walking into Mr.Sailsberry's office, Hayes had a ice pack on his left eye. Carter was sitting in the far corner, evilly smirking to himself.
"What happened today was unacceptable," He started. "This behavior has been going on far too long. I believe a punishment and a conversation about why it keeps recurring."
Carter tried to get his 'buts..' into it, but Mr.Sailsberry shut him up really quickly.
"Carter, you will be in ISS for the next three weeks. I hope you learn your lesson after that." He said, and a small smirk appeared on my lips. "Hayes, I suggest you take tommrrow off. I know things have been very hard at home lately and I'm sure you'd like to be with your mother."
Tears started falling down Hayes face, but he tried to hide it, like it was nothing.
"Carter, none of us will leave this room today without a reason why to as why you keep bothering Hayes AND Rosalie." Mr.Sailsberry was most likely interested in the answer himself.
After about a minute of Hayes trying to fight his tears, I took a seat next to him, and caressed his arm.
"Fine, you wanna know why? I'm in love with Rosie, and I won't give up until I can call her mine." Carter spoke quickly.
I gasped, in love with me? That's a joke. He's with Maggie. They've always been together. But loving me was impossible. I was with Hayes, for the longest time. Now he decides to drop this bombshell?
My mind kept spinning, as Hayes now left the room. Hearing that from Carter must've angered him.
"Mr.Sailsberry, can I please leave? Hayes needs me, I don't have time for this." I literally begged.
"Fine, we all will meet back here tomorrow morning, do I make myself clear?"
Me and Carter nodded. I grabbed my bag and went to find Hayes. Luckily, Hayes was only on the front steps on the school. I sat beside him and intertwined our fingers.
Moments passed and more sobs came from Hayes. He must've been keeping all this pain in for awhile. Soon Hayes stood both of us up, and gave me the most sloppiest kiss ever. But that only made me love him more.
When he let go, he took a deep breathe. "Can you bring me home?"
"Of course, are you hungry?" I kindly asked as we walked towards my car.
"I'm starving, can we go to Burger N Go? They just opened one downtown." Hayes giggled, because that was both of our favorite places.
"Yes, Gabby wanted to go there earlier. So I'm already in the mood for a chocolate milkshake ." I smirked to myself as I talked about my love for chocolate milkshakes in front of my boyfriend.
