Rosie's View;
Hayes went to grab a deck of Uno cards in the basement, as I sat on one of the lounge chair. Shortly, Hayes came back with a deck of Uno, and Skylynn following behind. I had already dried off a little bit, from the towels Elizabeth left out here for us.
"I wanna play, I wanna play!" Skylynn gave Hayes puppy eyes, practically begging.
"Not now, Rosie thinks she can beat me, and I'm going to prove her wrong!" Hayes smirked, shuffling the cards.
"Oh, c'mon! Please Hayes, I'll do anything." Skylynn started to fake cry, and got Elizabeth's attention.
"Sweetie, you can play next round, okay? Just me and you. I promise it'll be fun!" I stroked Skylynn's lower arm, giving a small smile.
"You don't have to treat me like I'm some little girl. I'm your sister&law." Sky giggled, "By the way Hayes sucks at this game." Skylynn whispered in my ear, causing me to crack up.
"Mom! Skylynn's bothering us." Hayes shouted out and immediately Skylynn jumped in the pool, like nothing just happened.
Soon we started our game. I got 3 red cards. 1 (+2) yellow card, 1 Wild card, and 2 skips, which were red.
"I'm going to beat your butt." I growled, playfully.
"Sure." Hayes said sarcastically.
The first card was a blue four. So I placed my red four down.
-
"Wow, Lesley! You beat me three times, I'm surprised!" Hayes acted shocked for a moment, then cleaned the cards up.
"Hey! I thought you said we could play a game." Skylynn jumped out of the pool, looking disappointed.
I took the cards from Hayes and played a quick game. Skylynn obviously won, because if I kept winning, she would want to keep challenging again and again. So I played easy, and she won.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Elizabeth pull out of a strand of hair. That cream must not be working anymore. I ignored her and went inside with Hayes and Skylynn.
"Do you think you can play barbies with me, Rosie? You're so much more fun than Hayes!" Skylynn giggled, asking permission.
"No Sky, me and Rosie are playing video games now. You're gonna have to hang out with mom now." Hayes told her, turning the X-Box One on.
"Hayes that's not fair! You always get to hang out with Rosie." Skylynn whined, starting to cry.
"Sky, knock that off. You know me and Rosie are dating, you can't always get to play games with her." Hayes started sounding frustrated.
"Oh really? You guys haven't kissed in two days! I was expecting a breakup to happen soon. That's all you talk about these days." Skylynn gave a cocky smile.
"Skylynn get out of here! You're ruining everything." Hayes yelled and finally she ran out.
"Sorry about her." Hayes mumbled, handing me a controller."Oh, it's no problem." I smiled, now I know that Hayes is talking about how we haven't kissed in two days time. Which is funny because I don't even count the days.
