Hayes Grier's View;

Rushing down the stairs, I grabbed my bag and ran out the front door. "Have a great day Hayes." Nila yelled from the kitchen.

I walked on the bus and rushed to the back. Daniel sat with his girlfriend Gabby. Which was Rosie's best friend.

"Hey what's up man?" Daniel gave me a dabs, since we couldn't really stand up for a bro hug.

"Nothin' much, have you seen Rosie?" I asked Daniel.

"I haven't seen her, she didn't get on at her stop. So I don't think she's coming." Dan told me.

"Haley called me and said
she wasn't coming to school today. Something about a break from school, or something." Gabby informed us.

"Shit, I should've got up
earlier to go over to her place." I mumble to myself.

"Hayes, don't worry. Rosie's probably under a lot of stress. I would be to if I actually cared about finals." He shrugged his shoulders, as Carter and Maggie came onto the bus.

"Who give's a fuck, seriously." Carter grumbled, giving me a huge smirk.

"Fuck off." I playfully nudged Carter's shoulder.

"You know schools out in two weeks so maybe you could go to Hawaii." Carter said to me, making conversation.

"Eh, I don't know. I'm worried leaving Rosie alone-" I started to explain a reasoning.

"Dude, you need to give her some space. All you do is worry about her. There's a point in your life you need to give somebody space." Carter interrupted me. Ever since Rosie had come into the picture Carter always had a grudge against her. I honestly never knew why. They both hated each other, but at the end of the day - they would get along.

"I love Rosie, alot. We give one another space once in a while. Like last week, we only were able to say good morning - or good night. Testing was a nightmare, especially when we couldn't talk." I stopped talking, once nobody was giving interest in what I was saying.

Shortly after, we arrived at Davidson Day High. I glanced over at the picnic tables - memories of the BBQ flood into my mind. That's where Rosie and I first had a romantic interaction. That was a great day!

The bus came to an abrupt stop. Damn bus driver! Maggie had spilled her ice coffee all over Carter's lap. Everyone in the back erupted into laughter.

"What the hell Maggie!" Carter pushed the ice off, as his pants started dripping with coffee.

"It wasn't my fault, it was that old hag!" Maggie defended herself, getting papers from her bag to clean his torso and below.

"Just stop it! You're making it worse." Carter yelled as I stood up, Daniel grabbed his towel inside his bag from swimming practice - which he 'accidentally' brought home.

"I have an extra pair of trousers in my bag, if you stop bitching to your girlfriend, then I will gladly let you borrow them." I offered, which got a death glare from Carter.

"Hurry up, you're holding up the line!" Bus Driver Sally hollered.

Carter stood up, as his trouser sagged from the wetness. Everyone exited the bus - Carter earned at least a dozen stares. "Let me see that towel, now!" Carter yelled at Daniel. I have to admit, Carter treated everyone like crap - even his closest pals Matthew Espinosa and my own brother, Nash.
