Rosie Lesley's View;

My aunt June had just settled in last night, and mom was doing overall better. It was fun to actually see relatives once and a while. Not many come around. Looking down at my phone, a text from Nash appeared.

"hi rosalie! I caught an early flight at 3am this morning, can we meet at the diner right next to the school?
Nash"

"of course what time should I be there??? Rosiexx"

"I'm actually at the diner now, get here any time you want.
Nash"

That was my que, I got dressed and drove off to the diner. Nash was sitting in the back corner of the small diner and I smiled once I found him. His goofy smile soon appeared and he stood up to give me a hug. "I'm so happy to see you!" I mumbled into his shoulder.

"I'm happier to see you!" Nash giggled, and we both took a seat.

"So how has everything been?" I asked, pulling my coat off.

"Pretty good, but I wanted to talk to you about something." Nash took a deep breath and continued, "Ever since I met Aimee, I've seen a future with her."

I remembered the first time he had told me about Aimee, it was over Facetime.

"she's so beautiful and generous. She has a huge heart and she isn't afraid to say what she wants. But there's a down side." Nash took a sip of his coffee, as the waitress had handed me a menu.

"Aimee has planned to go to the UNC for years now. It's great it is near you guys and id be able to see you guys more. But if I'm in Carolina, I won't be able to make videos, attend meetings, and that means no money." Nash stopped talking.

"Do you love her?" I asked, very bluntly.

"I do, its just I met her five months ago. At a meet and greet. How could I possibly love somebody I met that long ago?" Nash replied, looking unsure.

"I've known Hayes ever since I was five years old and I started loving him ten years later. It doesn't matter how long you've known that person, it matters what comes within." I smirk widely at Nash and he returns the face gesture.

"Okay, okay. I came out here to help you, and we're focused on me. What's going on with you?" Nash laughed, giving eye contact at all times.

"Okay, so my aunt June moved in last night and she never shuts her mouth. Like last night, I went to target to pick up mascara. And she started complaining how I had too much makeup on! Then she asked where I was going and she totally flipped. Apparently, she's apart of a church where they talk highly about makeup. How god thinks we're beautiful the way we are and how makeup is pretty much taking away his works." I stopped once the waitress appeared again asking for my order. I gave it to her quickly and continued.

"So now its like having an actual parent around. Not like my mom wasn't strict with me, its just she let me go out whenever I want, where ever I want. Now Aunt June wants everything her way. She wants us to eat as a family, pray before we eat and we can't be out after eight thirty." I growled from frustration, and Nash took my hand.

"Rosie, there's always gonna be that one person who's gonna piss you off. Tries to take control of your life, and your gonna hate it. But the only way you're gonna deal with it is if you talk about it. When I was 16, I use to lie to my parents. I use to tell them I was meeting with the track team one last time before the big game. But I was going to meet with a girl. And once my parents found out, they never allowed me out of the house. If I wanted to go on a walk, they'd tell me to get right back inside. I hated it so much, where id blare my music so loud my windows could shatter!" That got a smirk out of both of us.

"But when we had family meetings in my house, id tell them how angry I was. And how I wanted to be able to hang out with my friends. Go to actual track meets. After a while, they trusted me. I'd run errands for them and they'd let me go to friends houses."

"My point is: you have to talk about your frustration with your aunt June. It isn't gonna get any better." Nash smiled the whole time, then finally let my hand go.

"I guess so." I giggled. "My next problem is Hayes. He keeps ignoring my texts, won't ever call me at night anymore. Plus, he was suppose to come home. What? Five days ago. And suddenly he's M.I.A? It's ridiculous and I bet he's with some better, skinnier, smarter girl in L.A as we speak. It so frustrating and he has that ego where--" My sentence was interrupted by a familiar laugh.

Hayes.

"Hey Rosie!" Hayes smiled, then gave me cheek a quick kiss."What were you two talking about?"

"Family, school, same old same old." Nash answered, as I gave him a quick smile for covering me.

A few minutes later the waitress arrived with our food, and our conversation died down. Hayes made a couple of comments about school, how he would hate going back, but me and nash ignored him half the time.

After a long time of silence, I spoke up "So how was dancing with the stars? Did you have fun seeing all the dancers again?"

"Oh yes, actually Emma got you something. Its really sweet actually. Its in my suitcase , I'll give it to you after." Hayes answered , and it got dead silent again.

Outside, it was muggy & humid. Nash was going to head over to Skylynn and Johnny's house. Hayes was going in my car so we could go drop off Hayes track and field uniform.

Quickly I gave a quick goodbye to Nash and jumped into my car with Hayes.

My boyfriend kept acting like everything was great, making quick comments about how bad the weather was. And so on.

"You okay, Rosie?" Hayes asked, and I pulled over.

"Am I okay? Of course I am Hayes, despite the fact you ignored me for days at a time AND you were with some other girl." I knew this was going to be a heated argument, but it needed to happen sooner or later.

"Listen Rosie, it was stupid of me. Nash showed me that, I felt like I had power in LA. Here? I have to deal with my mom dying, I have to deal with grades, school. Reality in general. I came back because I need to face reality. I need to be with you, I need to be with Skylynn, I need to be their for my moms last moments." Hayes voice cracked, he was beyond sad.

"I'm sorry, I never looked at it like that." I blurted out, not sure how to respond.

After a few minutes he finally spoke, "Rosalie, I'm in love with you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You're 100% my soul mate. But when I was in LA, I didn't see that. Now that you're right in front of me, I can see you're all I want." Hayes took a deep breath.

"Some things are just unfixable. The situation with my mom is unfixable. My life is unable to be fixed. All we can do is make the best of it. I'm sorry I was getting too close with another girl."

Hearing this out of Hayes was beyond surprising, he was never so mature about any situation before.

"Its okay, Hayes. I forgive you, now should we drop your uniform off? We're gonna be late." A nervous smile hoarded me.
