"Where the hell have you been? You're two days late?" An angry Jayden scolded.
"Sorry Jayden but our communications were down after you're robot malfunctioned and blew a hole in the ship." Redd replied angrily, the part about communications being down seemed to be news to everyone, even Rose.
"Jaydens don't malfunction." She added worry sweeping her eyes.
"Don't they?" He questioned before Rose took his shoulder, he shrugged him off and went back into the ship.
"I take it we won't be expecting his help?" The king asked. He was taller than most people almost being on par with Tank except skinny, Charlie assumed the planets gravity allows people to be taller just like the wildlife. He had long wavy grey hair but his eyes matched the Scarlett red crown and his robe. He carried a golden cane with red adornments such as a beautifully cut ruby sitting on the top.
"As you wish, your majesty." Rose replied as if he knew that it wasn't a question the king was asking, but a request. He turned to go tell Redd before he was halted.
"Call me Velocity won't you?" The king asked with friendliness coating his cheeks.
"As you wish, Velocity." He said cautiously before continuing his venture back into the ship to find an angry Redd.
"Now," Jayden started. "Since you all took so long, we did the curtesy of hunting down Henry ourselves, he owes Jayde— I mean us, a favour."
"So this was all a big waste of time?" Aaliyah asked calmly.
"Well..."
Worry invaded Charlie's mind as he was reminded why he was here, an invisible asteroid nobody else knows about is steamrolling towards mars and would be here by tomorrow.
"We haven't 'got' him yet," She continued. "We know where he is but we only learnt that an hour ago."
Sadness drooped on her face like she'd let the team down, this Jayden felt different than the one Charlie knew and she now had his best interest.
"Need us to come get him with you?" He asked a little louder than he wanted to.
She let out a sigh of relief, "please, I love learning about new people."
Emotion poured from the machine unlike any other he'd ever met, even the alleged real Jayden."No time to waste then!" Velocity declared.
"You, you and, you, with us." He pointed to Aaliyah, Rose and Charlie. "The rest of you start work on the backup plans, especially you." He pointed to Alex, who looked to Charlie, then to the ground."Yes you're Ma— Velocity." Alex quickly corrected.
The group said a quick 'see you later' to one another before Charlie, Aaliyah, Rose, Velocity and Jayden all piled into what looked like a mobile home which had been torn apart and put back together before being converted into a spaceship, there were four jet engines attached to each corner, each on an axel which allowed the thrusters to rotate, move and steer. The body had in bold bright blue text read Solarium, the entrance seemed to have been replaced with either an airtight one. Velocity seemed very selfless in making his transport cheap and
last as long as he could to save materials and money, Charlie climbed aboard as the five of them piled in. To his surprise the first thing he saw was almost nostalgic, Charlie had lived in a caravan before and recognised the layout. The living room had been split in two, leaving space for the kitchen but housing a cockpit at the front where a large wrap-around window provided vision, where the small second bedroom should've been was presumably the engine room, heat radiated from the large tanks of various liquid and gases. The main bedroom was seating and and tools, boxes of clutter litter the floor and most of the ten seats held strange objects. The seats could fold out to provide a bed for a couple of cozy voyagers however he didn't think they'd be using it.
