Norita

I groan, looking around to my classmates being loud and idiotic.
"I'm going." I get up abruptly, Dale looks at me confused.
"Are you coming?" I ask because as much as I didn't want to be here, I didn't want to leave her here and neither did I want to be alone.
"Oh, no, I have to write this stupid apology letter because we were almost an hour late." She looked incredibly tired. I felt bad for her but perhaps she did need some time to focus so I nodded and left.
Her and thomas were almost an hour late together, when I pressed her about it, she said nothing happened. But does she seriously want me to believe that? What kind of person stays with their crush alone and says nothing happened between them?
I try to shake off my thoughts as I get out of the dormitory, but as soon as I do, another door opens not so far away from me. His face is still visible, it was matthew.
"Oh... Hey norita." He said, I guess he wasn't expecting to see anyone out this late. Especially not me.
During the time dale and thomas disappeared, me and him were alone. And it was an awkward silence as I desperately tried to avoid interacting or talking to him. Perhaps he noticed it.
Feeling bad from earlier, I try to put a smile on before speaking.
"Hey." He was annoyingly beautiful. For some reason, his smile seemed brighter than the lights in this hallway. After saying hey to him, I begin walking down the hallway. Where was I going? No idea.
But soon, there was another set of footsteps behind me.
I knew who it was.
Attempting to ignore it once again like I did earlier, I continued walking down the hallway.
As the hallway comes to an end, I turn around to him, he looks down at me with an innocent smile. My eyes twitch as I try to ask.
"Where are you going?"
"Wherever you're going." I raise an eyebrow, what did he even mean by that?
"I don't know where I'm going." I turn around once again, walking towards the tiny lobby that was built in every floor.
"That's okay." I hear the stupid smile in his face and it genuinely irritates me a little.
"Okay, why exactly are you following me?" The lobby was dark, the only light coming in was the moonlight from the balcony.
"What if a bunch of french people come by, I need my translator don't I?" I can't help but snicker at that.
"I'm not your translator."
"You're right, you're more than that." He genuinely seemed like a ray of sunshine.
"Are you always like this?" I sigh, a bit defeated as I walk towards the balcony.
"I'm not sure." He softly laughs, following me into the balcony.
Perhaps the sky will help me distract myself from the fact I was being followed by him.
And I was right, soon my thoughts were being carried away by the wind as I stood in the open, completely forgetting about his existence for a second.
"You seem relaxed." He comments, catching my attention, I raise an eyebrow while looking at him.
"Relaxed, huh?"
"I've never seen you this relaxed." He comments and I roll my eyes a bit playfully.
"You always seem so stressed, wether that's about studies, tests or what not."
"I didn't think anyone noticed." I genuinely felt a bit caught off guard by the fact he actually noticed how I was.
"It's hard not to."
Perhaps he was observant.
"Hey," he suddenly says, his voice a bit more energetic than before.
"Let's go to the garden to get a more clear view of the sky!" I look at him like he's crazy.
"We're not allowed out there at this hour!" He smirks.
"We don't need to be." And before I ever had a say in anything, he was dragging me by the hand down the stairs, we were sneakily passing through to get to the garden.
When was the last time I ever did something like this? Something to break the rules.
"I swear to god, if we get cau-"
"If we get caught, it's on me." He smiles down at me and it seems so genuine.
"I'll take the blame, trust me norita."
I feel myself relax finally. We were finally in the garden. And in fact, the sky did look better from here. The way the moonlight reflected on the flowers around us truly made it feel more magical.
I find myself looking up at him, only to find him already looking down at me.
