Norita

I yawn, stretching out my arms.
"Its almost the end of our first year here." I'm tired, school just ended for the day, dale was walking home and I was going to wait for my bus to arrive.
"Yeah, well-" she stops, looking at somebody in the distant before looking back at me deviously.
"What?" I say and she shakes her head.
"Nothing." She begins walking away, waving me goodbye. I'm still confused on who she had seen, just then, a familiar car pulls up infront of us.
The door opens as if it was telling me to get in. I take a step back, creeped out. But before I could walk away weirded, I feel my back bump into someone, looking up I realize it was matthew. Suddenly, he picks me and throws me inside the car, my heart begins racing and I panic hard.
"W-whats going on!" I yell but matthew gets in the front passenger seat
My eyes go to the driver, it was Leo. Matthew's older brother.
No wonder this car seemed familiar, it was his brother's car.
"Calm down," Matthew laughed, making me more confused.
"You just got kidnapped by the love of your life." I frown at his words.
"Seriously? You're not the brightest kidn-"
"Everyone knows where you are." He reassures me, I finally settle back in car realizing what he was trying to do.
______________

He put me down on a chair and zip tied my hand loose so if I wanted to, I could escape.
My mind goes back to how he said everyone knew.
"Did Dale know too?"
Matthew chuckles at my question, sitting on his bed infront of me.
"Yeah, she was also the most supportive of this idea."
Of course she was.
"I'm going to kill her." I mutter under my breath.
I look back at him.
"So why... Did you "kidnap" me?" I groan loudly, I can't believe my friends would sell me to this idiot.
"I wanted to talk to you." He pleads.
"You wanted to talk to me so you kidnapped me? Well isn't that a manly thing to do." I tease playfully causing him to roll his eyes.
"If kidnapping the girl I love is such a crime, then sue me." I raised an eyebrow.
"Uhm, actually... It is indeed a crime."
"Okay, shut up." I chuckled softly, I don't remember the last time I actually talked to him.
"Norita, I love you." He whispers and I find myself look away.
"You have a girlfriend." I shake my head, trying to deny his confession.
"She's cheating on me, I assume you know too considering she's in your friend group."
Of course I knew, everyone knew. But I didn't say anything because I didn't think it was any of my business.
"Look, I'll break up with her. But please, believe me when I say that I truly love you." I wanted to believe him, and I wanted to reciprocate his feelings. But I wasn't sure.
Taking in my silence, he gently removed the zip tie from the hands, freeing me.
"You're free to go, my brother will drop you home." He quietly whispered, my heart breaking slowly.
As I get up to walk away, his voice stops me in my tracks.
"You know, you deserve million times better than me." I turn to look at him over my shoulder.
"But I can't stand to see you walk beside someone that isn't me..." His eyes finally met mine as he continued.
"So I'll become that million times better man for you, just so I get to walk beside you."
