Norita

School had ended, it was the first weekend.
"What?" I look at the girls who look at eachother confused then back at me.
"He didn't... Tell you?" My mind spins, finally when I had a grasp on my feelings, the world comes crashing down.
"He's... No, no, no... He's leaving?" I say in disbelief, getting abruptly from the bed.
"He was supposed to tell you the day he kidnapped you." Amy says confused. I feel more confused than ever.
"His train is tomorrow." It made sense, it made sense now. That day on the school festival, he told me to meet him at the train station. He wanted to see me one last time.
That jerk.
"He lied to me, I'm not going." I say like a little kid, feeling more betrayed than ever.
"You have to." Dale says as I shake my head.
"tell him how you feel. It's now or never." Looking up at Amy and Dale, I couldn't help but feel a bittersweet feeling within me.

I walk in the train station, it's empty considering how our town was the smallest and It was the last train to catch. The sun was setting, I walked in. My eyes found his, there he stood. Looking more beautiful than the first time I saw him.
He had baggage with him, it was obvious he was leaving. He looks up from his phone, he eyes find me before instantly lighting up. My feet has a mind of it's own as I rush over to him, feeling like this will be the last time I ever talk to him.
"You came." I slowed down once I got closer to him.
"Of course I did." My voice is low.
He looks at me and I silently look down, he breaks the silence.
"I... Broke up with Emily."
"What's the point in telling me now?" I look up at him, there's a bittersweet faint smile on his lips.
"I guess you found out."
There's a part of me that's angry.
"Found out that you're leaving us to go study somewhere else? Yeah." I sounded angry like a kid, it was slightly pathetic. He chuckles at my reaction.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you but I..." He trails off, not knowing how to proceed.
"You will be missed." I say, looking away.
"I don't care, unless it's you that misses me." My heart beats faster in my chest, there's a part of me that wants to cry and tell him not to leave me.
Just then the train arrives, and everything that I had wanted to say to him slowly fades away. As the doors slide open, he begins saying something.
"Just so you know, no matter where I am in the world..."
He gets in, dragging his luggage.
"I'll always love you." He stands infront me, this time the only distance between us was the train gets that would close anytime now.
Just then, I found myself confessing.
"And I love you too." Perhaps world stopped for both of us as I said my feelings out loud, his eyes widening once he realized what I had said. But before he could close the distance between us, it was too late. The train doors slid close.
I smiled at him for one last time, he shook his head, hitting on the glass but there's no use. A tear escapes my eyes and the train leaves. Leaving nothing but the bittersweet feeling of knowing we loved eachother.
His scent lingered in my nose as his words replayed in my head.
"I'll also, always love you... Matthew."
