As the talk of Aemond and Helaena's wedding died down over, it seemed the only words that could leave anyone's lips throughout all of the King's Landing were, 'When shall the Prince Aegon and Princess Aemma be wed?'
"It is really strange how quickly the small folk's interest shifts," Remarked Aemma one afternoon as she and her grandmother, the Queen, took tea together in her Queen's quarters.
The Green Queen just laughed at Aemma's words.
"I cannot see how you have never been interested in the common folk, sweet girl," Spoke up Alicent as she took a sip of her tea.
"What with all your charity work and public appearances with the King. You are everything that the small folk could ever want in their princess," Praise her Alicent with a small smile on her face.
"You've always been too kind to me, Ali," The young Princess said and bit down into the lemon cake that she had with her tea.
"Now, the small folk and I have something in common, my dear," Suddenly spoke up Alicent, gaining Aemma's attention immediately.
Alicent set her tea cup down and leaned forward to lean towards her granddaughter, before she spoke up once again, "When do you wish to be wed to Aegon?"
"You are giving me the choice?" Aemma asked unsure, her eyes going wide at the sudden shift in the light conversion they had the whole afternoon.
"Of course, my dear," Told her Alicent, a smile forming on her lips.
"My son has been running after you long enough and I see no point in denying him any longer," Shrugged her shoulders Alicent.
It was close to no secret that Small council has been chasing after Alicent, asking her about her first Borns future marriage. And Alicent knew that sooner it would be, sooner she would have her grandchildren and the Iron Throne would be more secured for her family line.
Aemma rolled her eyes at her grandmother's words, picturing Aegon's annoyed expression when everyone spoke up about their marriage. They wanted to get married and have their peace from everyone, but he was always annoyed when his mother spoke to him.
"Oh, of course, Alicent. Gods forbid we make the Prince wait any longer," Aemma said, trying her best not to roll her eyes at her grandmother.
"And so?" Wanted to know Alicent. Knowing the answer already from the fond look on her granddaughter's face.
"At times, I forget we are not yet truly married," Had to admit to Aemma truthfully. Her words made Alicent's eyes to widen, not sure what to think about Aemma's words.
