It has been three weeks since the passionate moment between Aemma and her betrothed in the halls of the Red Keep and two weeks since she got to the Driftmark. Island where she did belong. Place where she lost her father, but still felt the closest to him there.

The Velaryon princess walked through the castle, her wavy hair swaying back and forth as she made her way to the Hall of Nine. Where her step-sister and cousin was in one person, Baela Targaryen was practicing her High Valyrian with the Maester. She became Princess Rhaenys's warning not long ago.

Aemma chuckled at her cousin, after a couple of short moments she realized that Baela's High Valyrian was as bad as Aegon's. It was hilarious for Aemma to listen. Curly haired girl God frustrated easily, and Aemma's laughing was not making it any easier for her.

Before Aemma could say something that could help Baela and her pronouncing, their grandmother Princess Rhaenys entered the Hall, holding something in her hand. It was a scroll with the King's seal on it.

Rhaenys looked at her husband who was still on his Driftwood Throne, watching his granddaughter with amusement, but his expression changed as soon as Rhaenys handed the scroll to him. He already knew it must be something bad, the King was not writing to them often.

He opened the scroll and quickly began reading it.

My dearest cousin,

it has been so long we were granted the joy of your presence, and from what I know, our shared granddaughter is six and ten. I would like her to come back to King's Landing for the wedding with my eldest, Prince Aegon. The Queen and I eagerly await for her return

King Viserys

Lord Corlys sighed out loud and turned to Aemma. Seeing so much of Laenor in that young girl. Her actions, her laugh, light in the eyes, it was all that was left of his beloved son.

"I just received news from the King. He and the Queen requests you to come back to the Capital. For your wedding to Prince Aegon," Spoke up Corlys.

Aemma knew that her time on Driftmark was limited, but deep down she hoped that at least a few weeks she would be able to spend time with her cousin and grandparents. But someone clearly had a different opinion. And somehow, she was not ready to get married.

With marriage came responsibilities, like being submissive, sharing a material bed with someone, being an obedient wife, always ready for use, ready to have kids. She did not want that, not yet, but no one was asking.
