Ninjago: Heart of the Storm (Slow Editing) (Re-Write)

Chapter One: A New Ally

Despite the lightness of the dawning sky, the stars were so bright and clear like distant diamonds sparkling in the morning sky. As the sun started to rise, it had caught the colors of a blazing, aflame ember as it rise in the east. The faint outline of the moon was in a pale circle of silver, glowing faintly in the dawning sky.
But shining in the light of the sunrise, it was the great city of Ninjago City. The city has many skyscrapers, featuring billboards for advertising businesses. Within the city are people within small shops, lively subway systems, small arcades, schools, large banks, parks, cafes, and restaurants. On the streets are buses that drive around regularly, and many parked cars along the sidewalks.
Ninjago City is a large urban area located near the Sea of Sand. Numerous Secret Ninja Force battles and adventures have taken place within the city. A complex network of subway tunnels can be found beneath the city. After its destruction at the paws of the Meowthra, it was rebuilt by the genius Cyrus Borg and became New Ninjago City. It became a high-tech metropolis, a center of great technological advancements where everything was digitally connected. Not to mention, it was in favor of a more balanced environment.
True to the city's description, the sun had started to rise from the golden and blue sky, the people of the town had started to awakening and getting ready to start their day. The adults had started heading towards nearby stores or started heading towards their work. The teenagers had started working their morning jobs or meeting up with each other in their favorite hangout spots. While the kids had started helping their parents, playing with their older siblings or playing with their pets. But walking out of the bookstore, a teenage girl named Audra Valiente could be seen walking towards the nearby park.
She is one of those very few teens who don't care about their social life and understands the world better. For years, she is incredibly kind and has a soft spot for kids and animals, since she can be a babysitter sometimes and took part in an animal shelter. She is very selfless to the ones she loves and will forever be loyal to them. Her grades were high and she is a strong fanfic writer. She enjoys reading fantasy novels and adventure books that have gotten her to work at the library as one of the assistants there, but she hates war and violence. Though, she gets very annoyed and roughly amused when boys flirt with her.
Audra soon stopped near a market and purchased a few snacks from a vending machine. She put her snacks into her dark brown satchel. Audra sat down onto a bench in a park. Her blue eyes lit up when she found the book she was looking for in her bag. A thick, navy blue book with silver trims. On the cover were two rings, the outer one has intricate designs while the center ring depicted a lavish landscape of vibrant green mountains, colorful trees with purple and blue hues, and on the side of the image was a butterfly, it's wings adorned with luminescent patterns that made it pop. Around the circles were six gemstones; emerald, ruby, onyx, opal, sapphire, aquamarine, and teal. A scuffle. Pausing, she listened for a moment, but the silence of the market enveloped her.
Audra soon sat down on a chair at a desk where her stack of already books were at. She soon started reading her chapter, hardcover book titled "Legend of the Guardians."
"Not long before the founding of Ninjago, a dark sorcerer whose name has been long purged from history had went on a crusade against his fellow wizards and witches, claiming the humans are cruel and arrogant. His methods were harsh, brutal, and deadly and every way he went, he laid waste, killing those he despised the most, leaders who followed their kinds' ways whom he viewed as stagnant and demonstrative of their kind's arrogance and large sense of superiority."
"All would have been lost if it weren't for the Guardians of Ninjago rising up against this threat once they learned of it. They have sworn an oath to protect Ninjago and all who live in it. So, upon learning of the wizard and his reign of terror, they came out from the Temple of Spinjitzu to meet and confront the Dark Wizard in a final battle, a battle whose name is best never spoken to any human or creature. The battle was fierce and both sides fought fiercely for the wizard has great power and appears to have the advantage over his foes. When it seemed all hope is lost, the First Spinjitzu Master, Leader of the Guardians, with the help of other Elemental Masters and Spinjitzu Masters, successfully defeated the wizard and imprisoned in another dimension behind a magic prison meant to protect Ninjago from the wizard himself, for the First Spinjitzu Master knew that the wizard is responsible for another crime he committed long ago and has been waiting for the perfect moment to punish him for said crime once he found out."
"Despite the Guardians' victory over the Dark Wizard, however, a talented Elemental Master had foreseen a vision that one day, he will return. But, she was ignored for everyone else, expect for the Guardians, is confident that the wizard will be imprisoned forever and forgotten as his name and actions are erased from the history books. Feeling bitter upon returning to her home, the Seer was greeted by a different vision: a new Guardian will appear and will be the first to gain an unclaimed Element. Surprised, the Seer told the Guardians her vision and they listened ever since, they waited for the new guardian to appear, even believing they'll be their last hope against the wizard if they did indeed returned just as the fellow Elemental Master, the Seer, predicted."
Audra reminded of it upon reading the part in her book about the vision of a new guardian appearing that has not been seen nor heard about. The new guardian is probably one with the once missing Elemental Power that was outside of the First Spinjitzu Master's Elemental Powers.
As she put her book away into her bag, she heard yelling and crashing in a nearby alleyway.
"Ninja... Help... Fight... Wind Hunters."
Without hesitation, Audra was soon involved in a chaotic fight. She was soon kicking more a lot of heck out of the thugs than Kim Possible in her movies. One of the thugs grabbed her from behind. Audra stomped onto their foot, grabbed their arm and flung them into a group of three others. She soon caught sight of the famous six Ninja fighting against these thugs.
The Ninja has gathered into formation. "Ninja, go!" Audra's eyes widened at the amazing sight of the mini tornados that she heard so much about. Their Spinjitzu reflects off their Elemental Powers. By the looks of it, Spinjitzu is truly real after all. But once the Ninja stopped using their respective Spinjitzu, they were surrounded by the gangsters yet again.
"There's too many!" yelled Cole.
"Pix! Get us out of here!" Lloyd called through his ear piece.
"Someone help her!" Jay noticed Audra, struggled sounding in his voice.
Audra's senses began to overwhelm her. She held an arm out slightly in front of her to try and keep a distance form the masked men, the other behind her feeling for the wall of the alley. She had no choice, but to use her Elemental Power. As soon as she felt the cool brick on her fingertips, Audra took a deep breath, as she summoned all her energy. The wind began to pick up. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind burst through the alley, knocking everyone off their feet. Audra sat with the back against the wall, she had collapsed from exhaustion, but it wasn't over.
"Did you just—" A voice had started to ask.
Audra looked up to see all the Ninja staring at her. This was exactly what she didn't want to happen. Just then, a shadow covered the alley. They all looked up to the legendary Destiney's Bounty.
"Pixel's here, we gotta go!" Lloyd gotten up, heading toward the rope ladder dangling from the Bounty, the rest of the Ninja following behind.
"Wait!" Kai called out, getting up and running over to Aella. He held out his hand to her. "Come with us. Who ever these guys are want to get to you, its not safe to stay."
Audra just stared at him, still breathing heavy, trying to decide whether to trust them. She heard a groan, looking over to see the masked men starting to get back on their feet. Kai extended his hand further with urgency, looks like she didn't have much of a choice. With her right hand, Audra grabbed Kai's, using to pull herself up. With her right hand, she used her power to bring her now retracted doubled bladed sword to her, grabbing it and quickly clipping it back onto her belt. As they started running towards, Audra grabbed her backpack off the ground, swinging it over her shoulder.
"Hurry!" Nya called to them.
The Bounty was slowly drifting away, it hadn't actually stopped so they could make a quick get away. Kai Looked back to see that the masked men were up and chasing them.
"This is gonna be a close one!" Kai yelled as they both jumped, grabbing hold of the rope later, and narrowly avoid the men. "Hold on tight!" He grabbed her arm just to make sure she didn't fall.
As the rope ladder was being pulled into the bounty, Audra looked down at the men who had just tried to kill her, watching them disappear back into the shadows of the alley.
"Who were those guys?" Kai asked Audra, looking down.
"I don't know," Audra responded without looking up.
Once they had made it to the top, Cole and Kai helped Audra over the railing and onto the deck, though she see very capable of doing it herself. Audra took a deep breath, though it sounded more like a sigh, and looked up to see all the Ninja staring at her. She quickly looked away, unsure of what to do. Large groups of people weren't exactly her thing.
"You alright?" Cole asked the mystery girl.
She nodded in response. "Yeah. I'm okay. I'm Audra Valiente."
