Nya was the next to speak, hoping she could help make Audra feel more comfortable. "I'm Nya Smith." She soon started gesturing to her other companions. "And this is Jay, Zane, Pixal, Cole, Lloyd, and my older brother, Kai." Audra looked around at all of them, following where Nya pointed, making a mental note of who is who.
"You did great out there!" Jay chimed in, almost a little too enthusiastically. "So, are you like... an Elemental Master?"
She flinched back at his questions, some of his questions were more sensitive than others could have realized. Audra was getting even more nervous than she was before. She knew they'd ask about it, but had still hoped that they wouldn't.
Thankfully, Nya stepped in before Audra had to answer. "Jay, stop. Can't you see you making the poor girl nervous?"
"Heh, heh... Sorry Audra," Jay said sincerely.
She gave him a small, but hesitant smile as she rested her eyes on Lloyd. His light blond hair is in a suave look, and he is both strong and slim. She soon locked eyes with him. His beautifully bright green eyes are filled with gentle warmth as he gazed at her. Something about him made Audra drawn to him, but she doesn't know what it is.
Lloyd's breath was hitched in his throat when he and her briefly locked eyes. Lloyd had seen many girls, but not like her. This girl was definitely attractive, but unlike some he had came across, she wasn't jumping to any sudden conclusions immediately. Her gaze was... very distracting, like two pools of pure water and her hair shimmered like the sunlight. Lloyd felt something pounding in chest as he continue to watch her the same way that he did when he first met his first crush on Harumi. But he was scared. What if the same thing happened again? He's not sure Audra also has the same feelings towards him.
"Audra." Everyone turned to look at Zane, but she knew the question that the White Ninja was about to ask. "Do you by chance know anyone by the name of Morro?"
She swallowed nervously and looked down mournfully, a touch of tears tickled into her eyes. "I'm afraid so." Her voice was filled with emotion, which made Lloyd step towards her. "He was my older brother." Audra gazed at the Ninja with no small amount of grief. Hesitantly, Lloyd placed a hand on Audra's left shoulder as a gentle sign of comfort. At first, his gentle action surprised her, but her expression softened as she gazed at Lloyd.
"Audra, we can send a letter out to your parents telling them what happened, and letting them know you're safe." Cole turned to look at Audra and Lloyd.
"I... don't have any," Audra responded quietly, causing everyone to become silent.
"Oh, l'm so sorry Audra." Nya placed a hand on her shoulder, a sympathetic and empathetic expression went across her face.
"Y-Yeah, we didn't know, sorry," Cole added.
"It's fine." Audra shrugged, but a brief flicker of grief flashed in her blue eyes.
"Well, it's settled," Lloyd said warmly. "You're coming with us."In preparation for Audra's arrival, Misako began cleaning out a spare room in the Monastery they used as storage, enlisting the help of Ronin and Dareth. Dareth however, wasn't much help.
"Are you gonna help or are you just sit there?" Ronin asked Dareth, picking up a box of old training weapons as he did so.
"Im not just sitting here!" Dareth started defensively. "I'm supervising. And on lunch break." He took a bite into his sandwich.
"Misako asked us to help clean out the room, not the pantry," Ronin replied sourly as Misako entered to take more boxes. "And speaking of cleaning out, if you dont need these old training weapons anymore Misako, I'll gladly take them off your hands. I'll even pay you for 'em too."
"Yeah, just to sell them off in your little pawn shop," Dareth interrupted before Misako could speak. "These babies belonged to the Ninja, they belong in a museum!"
"Wu said to hang on to them, you never know when you'll need basic training weapons," said Misako. "And who knows, maybe the new girl could use them."
"Who is this new girl anyway?" Ronin asked them.
"I don't know." Misako shrugged. "The Ninja only said they were bringing someone back to meet with Wu, and that she might be a new Elemental Master of Wind."
"Ooh, does that mean there's gonna be another ninja? Don't worry, the Brown Ninja will teach her everything she needs to know!" Dareth stood up straighter with his hands on his hips, chest puffed out heroically. Misako and Ronin only shook their heads and chuckled in response as they got back to work.
