As the sun started to rise, it had caught the colors of a blazing, aflame ember as it rise in the east. The faint outline of the moon was in a pale circle of silver, glowing faintly in the dawning sky. But sailing through the dawning sky was the Destiny's Bounty.
Everyone at the table engaged in some amount of different conversations, some more than others. Nya talked about some of the ideas she had for upgrades to the Bounty. Kai talked about some cool new moves he wanted to try out in their next battle. Jay and Cole were both bickering with each other playfully. Zane was talking softly to Pixal about their next date (if nothing chaotic happened again) as they went back to steering the ship. Once Audra was finished with her breakfast and put her plate into the sink before she returned to her seat, she watched as Lloyd sat down next to her. He placed a gentle hand on top of hers, in which surprised her and locked eyes with him. Blushing fiercely, Audra looked away from him and at the other Ninja.
They soon went to their different ways to do their morning routines and/or chores. Nya put their dirty laundry into the laundry machines while Jay used his skills to warm up the ship's engine. Zane and Pixal both worked together to steer the ship on the main bridge. Kai helped tidy up all of the rooms with Audra's help, since she has an eye for organization and patterns. Cole and Lloyd both started cleaning and drying the dishes in the kitchen.
Audra soon sat down on a chair at a desk where her stack of already books were at. She soon started reading her chapter, hardcover book.
"Always the most selfless of creatures, the Source Dragons were wise and compassionate beings and when they saw that humans were struggling because of their lack of magic, they pitied them and wished to help, thus fulfilling the First Spinjitzu Master's desire to help the humans when his kind and the elves didn't want to. The other beings argued against helping humans as they believed if humans were meant to do magic, they would be born with it. Yet, the compassion of the Source Dragons ran too deep for them to ignore and created primal stones, gifted them to a few wise humans and taught them spells and the runes and words to release the spells. For the first time, humans no longer starved and struggled and were happy that they given help and have magic, all thanks to the unicorns. Because of this, they were revered and regarded higher than any other creature."
"However, that happiness became short-lived when dark magic was invented and Dark Sorcerers appeared. While they'll hunt any creature and use any and all parts of them, the most sought-after prize of all was the horn of a dragon. Thus, Dark Sorcerers started to hunt the dragons, yet they were almost impossible as they are deviously cunning and have stellar magic as they were creatures of great power and magical abilities. Because of this, the success rate of hunting dragons is exceedingly low. After some Dark Sorcerers managed to hunt down and captured three dragons, humans who were given Elemental Powers by the dragons became horrified and warned the Source Dragons about the dark mages and successfully convinced them to go into hiding. Humans knew the truth and sometimes came across the creatures hiding places called Source Dragons' domains and even meet Source Dragons that live in them. If humans came across a Source Dragon's domain and meet any Source Dragon that live in it, they have to promise to not tell anyone about the place and their encounter with said dragons in order to keep them safe from Dark Sorcerers. As long as the dragons remain hidden from Dark Sorcerers, they'll be safe."
"Well, we're almost back to the Monastery," Nya announced.
"I'll go inform the others." Zane headed towards the cabin.
All of the Ninja came down from the ship's bridge, Pixal started to land the ship. It was nice and breezy out, but still a beautiful day, and a good temperature for fall too. Lloyd walked ahead of Kai and Cole, who'd both came over to join the group.
"Hey, Lloyd?" He perked up when he heard Audra's soft, but questioning voice. "D-Do you think some people would understand that I'm related to Morro and yet I'm going to become a Ninja?"
Lloyd felt a wave of empathy and understanding. He knew what it was like to walk in Audra's footsteps. He's the son of Lord Garmadon and was assumed to be evil like his father, but he decided to be a good person as his father wanted to be. Audra is the younger sister of Morro and was worried about taking up his dark path, much like her older brother has taken. But she decided to be her own person, which shows the signs of her courage and hope against Morro's past actions. These signs in her personality have shown that she's nothing like Morro.
"Many people seem to think that you're Morro, which you never can be." Lloyd's bright green eyes locked onto Audra's blue eyes, and he started gently holding her hands with his. Both of them blushed, but they continued holding each other's hands as Lloyd continued comforting Audra. "Forget trying to be Morro. You will never be him. You are Audra Valiente. Morro's younger sister. You inherited traits from both your parents and your older brother, just like everybody does. Find out who you are. Show them what you can do. And if they don't like it, ignore them." His expression has softened as he gazed at her. "Just remember what type of person that you want to be and show it to others."
Audra smiled warmly at Lloyd. "Thank you Lloyd." She soon started hugging him with a warm smile. "I needed to hear those words." She looked up at the Green Ninja, studying his face just as she had the first time they met. Audra clung onto the boy with a smile. Lloyd felt himself softened as he wrapped his arms around Audra. She rested her head against Lloyd's chest, listening to the soothing sound of his heartbeat. While everyone else smiled at the duo, they could tell that they are going to be an interesting pair.
"We're here!" Jay called out.
Everyone gathered by the railing on the deck as the Bounty landed next to the Monastery. Audra looked out over the Monastery. She couldn't help, but be a little nervous being back here. But as they all exited the Bounty, she spotted a familiar face near the gate of the training yard, one that instantly made her feel at ease.
When the monastery doors opened up to them, Master Wu and Misako both stepped out of the monastery together. Upon seeing Master Wu, Audra's eyes widened in shock. She had a look of child-like innocence on her face. She felt like a child that's for sure. The same innocent, scared child she was when she first met Master Wu, and the sense of safety she met along with him.
Master Wu's eyes widened as well when he saw who the Ninja had brought home with them. He knew it would be her, but that didn't make it any easier seeing her again for the first time in years. He quickly collected himself. "Hello Audra." She continued to stare, the same expression. "My how you've grown."
With that, Audra took a small step forward with one foot. She hesitated, but quickly made up her mind, taking another few slow steps, walking towards her old Master who stood in the doorway of the Monastery. Her pace began to quicken, and soon enough she began running towards Wu, who held his arms out to welcome her back. She ran straight into his arms, hugging him tightly around the middle. He placed one hand on her back, the other on her head, returning the hug.
"Welcome home my dear."
